Husky Its your Birthday Go Out! Have HD buy you a nice cold one

As I said earlier in this thread, Husky and HD are doing a poor job at running this event (they can't handle it only by themselves): so many delays, stream issues, poor game knowledge during casts, people spoiling results ... and what for? To see some games that are not even streamed live with alot of people raging about lag issues. Yeah they could see them later (talking about days here) on youtube, but there were alot of issues too, that made the wait even longer. And Husky ... you keep posting that you have a "personal life outside SC" and it's a main reason why games are not live or the replay casts are delayed so much. This isn't an excuse ... you should have been aware of it when you decided to host this tournament helped by HD only. Look at the other tournaments, that are streamed live (instead of "no hype replays")... where are all the issues you have?
I know I'll get hated cuz I said all that, but like it or not, is the truth. I mean thanks for hosting the tournament, but I'm not sure viewers are really enjoying it, and it's your fault ... Look at the posts in this thread: most of them are people asking about dates (match dates, stream dates, youtube video dates), or complaints to stream issues and recently spoiled results.

Cut them some slack, it's their first tournament and they're doing it for free. Constructive criticism is fine, but everything you've said they already know and are working to fix. If you think they're overwhelmed why not offer to help them instead of throwing peanuts from the gallery.
Also they've already addressed why they can't do live casts so stop beating that dead horse.

Reading all the bitching in this thread makes me think we need an EJ-clone for SC2 where we can heavily moderate the asshats.
172 pages, about 130 pages of that is people asking questions that could be answered by reading the first post.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if people are asking about dates that means they're looking forward to the games so you can't say people aren't enjoying it, or at least finding some value in it. It is a lot of work, both Husky and HD are extremely new at this and it shows.
I feel like they bit off more than they can chew and it's pretty obvious they're trying to become well known casters for SC2. Like you, I think their cast quality is poor as their game knowledge just isn't there and they don't have much to offer as commentators. I feel as if both Husky and HD would benefit from doing what Tasteless is doing by playing random and learning high level play. They may lack the skill/time to get to that high level and therein lies the problem.
I'm sure their Youtube viewers can't really tell the difference and it's not like they're doing a horrible job.

You really whine a lot. Go outside. Maybe get a "personal life outside SC." Irrespective of whether or not the tournament is being run poorly, you're just criticizing something people worked hard for (and even donated their money for) that you pay nothing to benefit from. Your criticism is not even constructive. You're not going to get hated 'cuz you said all that,' it's because you're not contributing and don't have the courtesy to keep your bitching to yourself. Because that's what it is, bitching. 'Like it or not, is the truth.'

I'm not sure why people say we are in over our heads when we're actually following the schedule exactly as it was posted since day one ^^.
We now have our next set of Livestream dates!
Friday, May 7th @ 1PM PST. Saturday, May 8th @ 1PM PST.
We will be casting 2 sets each day!
Look forward to seeing you there.

Because people check the OP which says: When Round of 8 - Best of 3 (April 28th - May 4th)
I think viewers are more interested in stream schedule, rather than match dates, since they can't see them live anyway. As for Sea.Blue ... seriously dude, you replied every single post I made so far. Give me a break please.

Noone is stopping you from leaving positive comments or arguing that you prefer watching replays and buggy streams over watching games live, but you simply never ever ever should go on an assumption that if someone is doing something they are above all criticism.

Criticism is a good thing, I do with people would be less offensive and personal about it, but thats human nature and i mean you just gotta learn to deal with it if you want success in public eye=)

Look forward to seeing you there. see I asked to split broadcasts into smaller casts because the have been getting visibly tired after monstrous cast-sessions and here it is. So they listen and there is progress. So just be patient!

As I'm the tournament sponsor I'd just like to add one thing to this thread:
Husky & HD have been doing an excellent job so far and I don't feel they have let myself or any of their viewers down with the coverage of this tournament. They have learned a lot and this new knowledge will be invaluable to future events that they hold.

Heo, not saying anything to the contrary but as the tournament sponsor you are hardly likely to say anything different
