If you taped a football game you wouldn't go straight to a football forum and then bitch about people ruining the result. This would make sense if the games had already been streamed. In my opinion you should be able to discuss the tournament and read updates from HD and Husky in this thread without risking to be spoiled just because someone actually bothered to check through peoples match history.

Lol I don't think there's a person alive that wouldn't want that info... imagine the money you could make at the betting shop ![]() Regardless it was a bad example but my point still stands. In fact in Australia we have crap live sports coverage and I frequently have to wait a long time for games to get aired here, and I manage to stay away from the results even though they're everywhere on the net. It's really not that hard to stay out of this thread until the games are posted. HDH always announce on their youtubes and twitter when the games are going to be aired.

The only time I've heard something there is in the middle of a game when they said "check our spoiler-free thread on TL.net". And twitter, yeah... no thanks.

Husky clarified that he was only referring to the first post as 'spoiler-free'. It is unreasonable to expect no spoilers in a tournament thread, this has always been the case on TL.

What are you doing posting in a thread detailing people's reactions to the tournament if you're afraid of getting results spoiled? It's like not seeing the Yankees game, going to a baseball forum, then complaining when you accidentally see the results there. Watch the games, or just wait to post/read the rest of the thread till you're up to date. Or just accept the risk you're taking upon yourself and don't cry if the results do come out.

Nice analogy, but the correct one would be 'It's like waiting for a Yankee game to be played tomorrow, going to a baseball forum, then complaining when you accidentally see that someone knows 100% what will happen at tomorrows game' You should start reading posts more carefully, I'm not the one who will whine about spoilers when I miss the streamed games, and then go and read the forums couple of hours after the stream was over. In this case, the game in question still hasn't been streamed, so your analogy definitely does not hold ground. I come to this thread to see what people think about upcoming games, and any other dozen reasons one can have to read this thread, and still not want to have the games spoilered in such a way

Wohaa, you missed by quite a bit there. Your analogy is horrible and I'm very curious as to how to watch Tasteless vs White-ra before it's been aired. I missed the second live stream from Ro16 so I obviously stayed away from this thread until the VODs were up, that's not what this is about. Given all players follow the rules, the only ones who should know the result at this time are the two players, in theory. This is about someone digging up the result from b.net match history and finds it fitting to post it in this thread in a very 'spoileristic' manner. Slap me silly and call me Kate for thinking it would be safe to read this thread until the games are aired.

Sucks that games were spoiled but, really you only have yourself to blame. I actually don't mind having the results of a game spoiled. I still want to see how that result occurred.

Personally, since this thread seems to be the place they post updates I would prefer it to be free of any kind of results from games that have not been streamed live yet.

I learned a long time ago not to go onto IMDB boards of a show or movie that I'm anticipating even before it's aired because people find spoilers or it sometimes is screened elsewhere first. You should probably just use the same principle here. Dicks are gonna continue spoiling things whether you like it or not, unfortunately.

Whether or not "everyone clicks them" (which I can assure you, they don't), it says "spoiler" for a reason and that spoiler was very obviously going to give away the results of the White-Ra-Tasteless match. And if you saw the post before the spoiler tag was added, well that kinda sucks but honestly that's the risk you take by going in this thread. Yes, people shouldn't click on spoilers if they don't want to be spoiled but this is not supposed to be a thread to discuss matches that haven't been streamed yet. Greggsauce should be banned and people should be able to visit this thread for updates from HD & Husky without fear of ruining their broadcast which has not been aired yet. Grettin, In regards to your question, I believe they said sometime this weekend they were going to cast the round of 8.

The post with the results of a match was originally not in a spoiler tag. Furthermore, the match results were not public information. In fact, the players are prohibited from releasing said information before the matches are streamed by HD & Husky. This thread is used to discuss matches that have already been streamed as well as a forum for HD & Husky to update the community on future streaming dates. When you place Greggsauce's post in this context you should be able to understand the irate response it has received.

Yes there was a spoiler tag, but if I've "seen all the games so far" I'm not in the mindset of worrying about spoilers.
