They can invite whoever they want and its gonna be awesome.

You don't orb? Think Idra shouldn't be allowed to play? Want someone to get an invite to the invitiational?

STFU and keep it to yourself. If Husky and HD wanted player suggestions I'm sure they would ask.

Now quit shitting on their choices and let them run this totally baller tournament.

This guy knows.

Also, if this gretorp guy ends up not getting in that would be great justice. Punishment for unleashing spammers unto the thread.

well, i can throw in who i'd love to see:

OgerEli and mouz.Spell *ed Socke would be cool as well

I think those players would be highly capable and may even enrich the field as it stands now.

Pretty hilarious overall that people complain that there are not enough U.S. tourneys, then when one comes up some idiots say, "you should have just invited 16 european players"

ROFL.

And the entire SC2 beta "invite the most known/famous players regardless of skill" is getting old fast. So of course you are going to get some pissed off Americans posting in this thread, especially a lot of the top ranked ones on the ladders right now.

imo if you wanna get "e-sports" going in the right direction in North America it should be E-sports not "the ruling class Elite sports."

aka open tournaments.

all tournaments are not going to be open.. but there is a weekly 100$ US open tournament which is Open to everyone..
*note* the word Invitational. there is still plenty of people to be invited everyone just take a chill pill and let the admins do there work.

It's an invitational. You're saying that hosting this tournament is the wrong way for E-sports to go, when in fact having tournaments/invitationals with crazy big prize pools like this will only give E-sports a lot more attention, publicity, and competition, which is a good thing. They are putting a lot of effort into this. If you don't like how it's done, host your own tourney.

Looking forward to seeing these games

Preach it, brother. That idiot Nazgul needs to shut the fuck up before he makes himself look even stupider.

yeah i can't believe how many people feel entitled because they're at the top of a beta ladder not 2 months from release. even with my status in the community, i didnt expect to be able to participate in tournaments with $1k+ prize money so quickly. i consider myself lucky to be able to do a tournament like this.

nobody with skill is going to be left behind in the long run

lol, talk about shit getting blown out of proportion.

Some people are expressing how they wish to be (even Nony) or see certain players in the tourney.

So then we have some new accounts "spam" for a certain person and some other new accounts stating how certain people shouldn't be invited because of spam.

Don't even get what the big deal is.
Thought people advocating for others was kind of standard for an invite tourney.

^ +1 spike

plus its not only just being high ladder or w/e but among most top players in US server every1 knows who most of the other top players are through cg's and w/e and i just feel like there could be some better names out there, thats all.

but i do agree for myself other players that are relatively unknown the best way to get "known" is to play in showmatches/tournies and other things which i have recently have been doing (omfg tonight and iccup tv last night)

The cutoff for some of our first invites is in about 9 minutes. We will be sending out a couple more invites after this once we see where we are at.

Please keep in mind that we have to balance a ton of things, one of the main ones atm being the amount of Protoss we have. We are updating this as quickly as we can.

Wow massive respect for Lumi, could not have been an easy decision, I hope the community complaints didn't affect his choice.

You know who doesn't play Protoss? mOOnGLaDe

Tournament is looking awesome so good luck everyone! I hope Nazgul can go far as I really like watching his play style.
