that said i am super happy smuft did say he will release reps after and would be infinitely happier still if the players decide to make it easier to appease the clear huge interest behind this and notify us of the day and approximate time the match is to go down so the boss of bosses Day[9] can know in advance when's the earliest we'll be able to get replays of the completed series and plan a cast of the games soon after the replay release time, using the fresh replays. if i get to watch these games for the first time in a day[9] cast later the same day the games were played, that would be the best

let's be realistic here though, no one can possibly expect this to be cast live. there's $10,000 on the line here for the victor (or in idra's case him + his "backers"), plus smuft has already stated no casters/observers.

having said that, it'd be a great loss if this wasn't relayed to the SC community in some way. gotta keep in mind though that this isn't an open "event", it's a personal match between idra and smuft, so they are going to be the ones making all the calls here.

personally i think idra/smuft should decide on who will be given the responsibility/privilege to cast the event, rather than replays/vods ending up in the hands of multiple people. maybe day[9] (my vote goes to him as the caster) can receive a replay pack after the conclusion of the event, and cast it in a fashion that TSL was done in. i don't think (at least i hope!) either idra/smuft would be opposed to working with TL to have this casted as an official event with a given date.

whatever happens, i look forward to what is poised to be a great match between two top players that should produce some amazing play (the smack talk/etc that will most likely ensue is just a bonus really). it's pretty respectable that you're both willing to put your money where your mouth is and actually go ahead with this.
