so i lost a game this morning and i was wondering whether anyone would have a helpful opinion for me. The guy had 400+ MMR on me so thats a thing here, but it didnt feel like I was playing particulary bad. I had a pretty good idea what he was doing the entire game, i got some drones in the midgame, with an albeit expensive Range lib harras, my switcheroo and Res management was off by a lot, aswell as my 3rd, but it still didnt feel like i was too far behind to make it a game when i played it. And THEN i got crushed by a ton of hydra roach with a couple blinding clouds. My conclusion to this was that I need to be more careful with big committed attacks in the future.

Didn't watch the replay but glanced at the ggtracker stats.
Against roach/hydra your lack of tanks (3-4 is not a lot) should make any larger push very difficult to pull off. Unless you plan to drop 3 places at once I'd go heavier on supporting units.

You can commit to 3 factory off 4 base and hit a timing before ultras or just as they pop, which is not as bad as it sounds because you can kill the 4th before they get plating for Ultras. From there you mass rax / port and go 5th base and play normal late game Terran, bunch of marauder marine, tank lib.

you are probably right. I think ill try getting my factories out a bit earlier, go heavier into tanks and drop them a bit with 4m until i got like 8 tanks or so.

Main thing I noticed was the macro slipping, going into detail, starting at 5:20 you get fully supply blocked, then you add on production at 6min but forget to build out of your barracks for a full minuite! this casues you to float over 1k minerals at the 7min mark. You then produce only 2 rounds of marines inthe next minuite and dont immedatly start to produce marines when your reactors finish on your 4th/5th rax. This casued you to be floating 1.5k by 8min . Fully supply blocked again at 125/125. Around 10:30 when you try to push into zergs 4th, you stop producing units for around 45 seconds as you watch the fight. Just sloppy macro, that push at the 4th should have come at least a full minuite faster if not more i feel and fully maxed. You seem to have trouble going through macro cycles back at home while micro'ing libs and/or hellions, or doing pushes.
In terms of army comp, I have seen Inno and a few other pros go fast up to 2 tech lab factory to get double tank at a time to smash hydras in the open field, so that might be a consideration.
Also im not so sure about fast range lib upgrade, just go faster 3rd and upgrades, but thats personal preffrence
