Hi guys, I'm looking to changing to The core or, if there is, a similar keyboard layout but I can only play on a Laptop and it seems to me that with the core I can't. I tried downloading the chameleon 2.0.1 but some hotkeys aren't assigned and the post seems old compared to this one so I don't know if they may have been improvements or changes. Do any of you know which is the better layout for playing with a laptop? Thanks in advance

Hey guys i started to learn the core a few days ago(i am using 1.0 version) but i can't figure out if i am positioning my hands correctly.
I use the mouse with my right hand and i tilt the keyboard creating a 40 degrees angle between the keyboard and the end of the table.

Could you post some pics of your hand positioning during the game please?

I'll probably change to 30 degrees but in the video Download ans Positioning on the first page Jak says that people who use the mouse with the right hand usually have tilt angle between 40 and 50 degrees so i am kind of confused.

Hey,
I think the 'usually' is the important word in this sentence. You should try what works best for you. Try to find a position where your hand feels relaxed and you can reach most of the close keys.

PS:
I have a problem with the hotkey list at the bottom of Z. Ability and Z. Overview.
The goal of this list is to make it possible to copy the list into a hotkey file instead of editing the hotkeys ingame. But somehow this works for most hotkeys, but strangly not for some. Attack, weapons free and some others do appear unbound ingame although the correct bind command is copied to the hotkey file.
So far I found out, that there can be a problem, if the key is used in the standard layout, which generates a conflict if this key is not unbound first. But especially with those 2 command, there is no other key bound (at least no error is displayed, if I bind the key ingame)
Does anyone has some experience with this or any idea what the problem might be?

im using RRM 2.0 and im having trouble with a bug with control groups. If i use 9 as a control group and i somehow mess with the control group (adding things that dont belong to it) i can remake just by pressing control +shift +9 but if i want to do the same thing with 0 (zero) it doesnt work, control shift + 0 doesnt remake my control group. Is this a problem of the Core or of my keyboard. Im using blackwidow tournament edition Razer.

Is there a list of justifications for a bunch of stuff? I don't wanna waste your time and I don't want to search all your posts Jakatak one at a time. For example, why there is a 'Add to Control Group 1' on the Alt layer.

there isn't a list, but most of the people who check here regularly have the answers. I'll start by saying that everything is where it is for the best reason we could find

the add to CG 1 alternate is to take 2 keys out of creating location keys for bases that are centered on the hatch/nex/cc or any other building.
Alt+key+key centers, creates the camera, and adds to the CG.
Otherwise it would be:
key to center
2 keys to create camera
2 keys to add to cg

I won't always be here to answer these questions, but if you keep asking them, I'm sure someone will step up to the plate and explain
