Hey guys I am master level player on Korean servers, and I am wondering a strong way to defeat this timing that comes at 10 minute. I am not sure if it comes earlier at higher levels but the quickest I have seen is 10 minutes. They come with 3 immortals and 10 sentries and then they have 7 gateways to warp in stalker. I cannot beat it with my build which is stephano's mass roach zergling build. If someone has a replay of a high level game were the zerg beats this or if they have a replay of their own game I would appreciate it. Also you can try to explain how to do engage and such but is more useful to see replay. Thank you
This one is just me not having units but he does it much cleaner then anyone I have faced on ladder http://drop.sc/171086 This one is a little weird at the beginning but has the same sort of push and some engagements that I lost http://drop.sc/171087 A really late attack and bad macro from my opponent but terrible engagement on my end http://drop.sc/171089
I am sorry I could't find a game were I felt I played good, and my opponent at the same time. However I suppose you understand the concept of my build and my opponents.

This is one of the strongest timings in the current metagame.
I think some people have experimented with hydralisks to hold this style of push but i'm not sure how reliable it is.
I think you can probably do ok with roach ling, but you need roach speed and ling speed. try and attack from multiple angles so the forcefields dont mess you up.

Grubby tried this vs stephano in game 1 of their series from the TakeTV invitational and got completely shut down. The vods might be of use.

This build is meant to counter the max roach build. Before zerg gets crazy drone/unlimited roach remax it hits. But to beat it, you need to bait the ff and not lose too much while doing so. Then get a good engagement. Ling/roach can counter this if done properly.
And yes this build is way harder to defend than to execute.like the terran 1-1-1 .Coming from a high master toss.

I think the ideal situation is to have a handful of units to force a warp-in at home or to delay his push. Then you just need a crap ton of roach ling and a decent concave. I don't think theres a way to exactly "beat" this build because of the number of forcefields that Protoss will have. Keep in mind if you get him to retreat after using a lot of forcefields, you can deny his 3rd. If you kill his army you win the game.
