The stop command is inferior because I believe there might be a tiny delay in between the stop command and the recognition to attack, and secondly because the stop command give you no reasonable ability to focus fire while stutter stepping.


(2) Spamming Spells - Do not use shift. Technically you can, but you need to make sure you're not including your a+move or move command in your shift queue. For that reason, I hold the spell button and then spam the left click on the mouse.

Yes. Infestors and blings are both very cost efficient against bio with the downside that they are poor at taking down a fortified position.

How many gates can a single fully saturated base support, with constant production?

Or, alternately, how many gates can it support if there's a robo constantly producing immortals?
Edit: If it wasn't clear enough, this question is for protoss.

Unless you can find an efficient way to get gates as terran or zerg. Then I'd like to hear your answer too.

Yes, that's a good way. Fungal growth the marines/whatever you want to run your banelings into, then just roll in the suicide sacs. Fungal growth in general is also a great thing against bio balls.

Yes, but packs of marines die to 1-2 fungals or 1-2 banelings. Both sides can take advantage of superior micro and positioning to come out on top, but in the end, the infestors and blings do a better job of killing marines assuming all things are equal.

In the 1.3.3 PTR, how long does it take to produce a Zealot from a Gateway that is constantly being Chrono boosted on? How long for one? I honestly don't know how to do the math for this, and am curious to see if the 2-gate proxy will be as strong as people say.

Is it better to start the game off by building a probe or sending your probes to mine minerals then que up a probe. Which is more beneficial in the longer run, the few extra minerals from the start or being ahead in harvester count? The reason I bring this up is after reviewing a reply of me and my friend 2v2 game I notice at the beginning for the first few seconds the production tab was empty cept for my lone probe. He was about 1/3 way thru before the other workers qued up.

Using the Chrono Boost Math thread, we can find this out easily!:

If you apply constant chronos onto your gateways, you just take the build time and divide it by 1.5:

33/1.5= 22

22 seconds is the absolute fastest you can get a zealot out, if my math and understanding is correct.

I want to steal a build in accordance with Day 9's advice. Like really go through replays, figure out what works etc. I thought I'd ask here:

What are 3 good builds to steal for a low-level player hoping to focus on his macro? 3 solid builds for TvT, TvZ and TvP.

This is different from a build order, because build orders usually only take you upto your first expo. I'd like to note down how many buildings a really good player has, his supply etc.

Any great Terrans to follow? I love MarineKingPrime but his micro is godly and I believe necessary for his build. Thorzain, possibly, that guy is sick. Anyone easier to "steal" come to mind?

I believe they count as a loss, yes. I don't think the system can distinguish between an accidental and a deliberate disconnect. If it didn't, everyone would just DC when it became clear they were losing, which would be every game they were losing since you can never take out every building before the person DCs.

On which maps is it not safe to open 1-rax CC in TvT? Also, is it always safe to plant the CC at your nat on large maps?

Edit, to answer the above: I'm fairly sure it's "Special Edition," which is often code for "fixed for balance."
