Hello TL, I'd like to know where I can improve and why I lost a specific game.
Please watch this replay: http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/128967-1v1-protoss-zerg-metalopolis
I've been doing Ling+Bling rushes against Terran and Protoss lately... yes I know, it's cheesy, etc. I love punishing players who build 2 marines or 1 zealot + 1 sentry and expect to make it to the 10 min mark with only that. I feel that it is effective against Terrans and unexpected against Protoss.
Anyway, in the beginning I Ling+Bling rush and nail all but 9 of his harvesters, and both of us lose just about all of our combat units. At this point I'm ahead, we both build up, and I switch to Roaches.

I know he's going to attack back with Stalker+Sentry, and he does. He just keeps spamming Stalker+Sentry, forcing me to build combat units over Drones, while he apparently can continue making Probes safely.
Later, I have 4 Spine Crawlers at my expansion, Roaches and Hydras waiting while I build up Drones. He engages me, on my creep, in range of all 4 Spines, places some more fail force fields, and still manages to win simply by pumping Stalker+Sentry.

My jaw dropped at how effective Stalker+Sentry was against my Ling+Bling+Roach+Hydra+Spine Crawlers.
My assumption is that I should have tried to get more Hydras out? I have no other choice in units really...
Where did I go wrong?

First of all, awesome micro with your banelings (1st screenshot) :-)
<---You can skip this---> I made it to rank 1 in diamond and was matched against master league players with Zerg up till recently because I decided to make fundamental changes to my game. I'm very strong in my early game and usually end 90 percent of my games within the first 8-10 minutes. However my mid game and especially my late game is weak, which is why I don't rush/push early anymore... I want to improve my game instead of keep winning... that didn't make much sense, did it?
<---Read from here---> I'm going to list your errors in the sequence you made them.
1. Your baneling rush must end the game, if not your follow up attack must. Otherwise you're usually so far behind it will become impossible to come back. However since you managed to get most of his drones, it was ... "ok". But keep in mind you were only 4 drones ahead of him, while his economy was ahead of yours up until the attack.
2. When rushing with banelings, always make them go first. If you had done that, it was over since his little defence would have died and your speedlings would have been able to enter his base and end the game.
3. If you decide to build units, you must push hard. Otherwise he will be able to fend off your attacks while keeping his economy up. Your first Roach push would have been good if you had included all your roaches in it. The roaches you were building while attacking all stayed at your base... So instead of hurting his economy, your push only resulted in you, losing your units.
4. Hydras are very good against stalkers, but against sentries they are terrible. It takes about 14 shots for a hydra to kill a sentry. And since sentries have very low health you should have pulled back with your hydras. On the screen he is actually able to use his sentries as meat-shields while his stalkers pick off your hydras...
5. His economy was better in the start till he lost his drones. At this point you were ahead, but since you let him drone up, instead of harassing him (which would force him to build more combat units), he actually managed to not only expand but beat you in terms of workers
6. Considering point 4, this wouldn't have made much of a difference. But always have queens behind crawlers healing them, since many players focus fire on the crawlers.

Hydras are very good against stalkers, but against sentries they are terrible. It takes about 14 shots for a hydra to kill a sentry. Wha? Don't Stalkers have 80hp/80sh and Sentrys have 40hp/40sh? Armor type shouldn't matter because Hydralisk have no bonus damage.
As for your other points, maybe I should have kept going all-in after the Ling+Bling rush.
Any other points of view out there?

To be honest, you should waste gas on banelings nest/banelings, spend the gas and minerals on roaches when you see a push coming, just turtle drone up and make roaches when you see a push.

spend the gas and minerals on roaches when you see a push coming, just turtle drone up and make roaches when you see a push. That's exactly what I did... watch the replay... that's why I'm wondering what else I could've done.

A Sentry has 40/40 health, and a Hydralisk does 12 damage per shot. Naked, the Sentry goes down after 7 shots - 12 damage per hit for the first four shots, then 11 damage for the last three after the shields are down.* With Guardian Shield up, that goes down to (4x10 + 5x9) damage, killing the Sentry in nine hits. If we assume the very unlikely combination of an unupgraded Hydralisk and a Sentry with X/3/3 upgrades and a Guardian Shield, we still only get 13 hits(6x7 + 7x6).
Compare to a Stalker, which actually does take 14 hits (7x12 + 7x11) to go down to a Hydra.
Conclusion: You are silly, confused about which units are which (hint: stalking is a verb that is difficult to perform without legs), or intentionally trolling.
*I used MajicPanda's combat simulator to check some of my numbers, and it does not show armor as absorbing hull damage that results from a hit that does more damage than there are remaining shields. Can anyone confirm that that's accurate?

Sorry my mistake. I was thinking of zealots.. ahh nvm.

1) bad larvae spewing 2) expansion was late 3) your roach push was weak 4) is economy was better than yours even with your all in. you just could not afford units. no queen at second base either. 5) all in's are suppose to kill your opponent, the moment he passed u in harvesters you lost. 6) macro better and you would have won, wacth that replay again yourself 7) the last battle, you should have pulled back and waited for your hydra's even than guardian shield just makes it impossible for you to win that macth, your hydra's were never in range and your roaches died before they could even tank for hydra's. and his unit composition was greater than yours. i dunno if you have heard this but a 200 food brotoss is stronger than a 200 food zerg, thats why zerg has to do 300 food pushes. You lost macro wise thats all

I watched the replay and it's really when you attacked the 2nd time. You were way ahead with 13 drones vs his 9 and he had no army. You should've taken your nat, tech'd to hydra and overwhelmed him with roach/hydra. There's no way he can keep up.
