2 chrono boosts on nexus early for probes
stop building probes on your 17th. when gateway is done immediately throw down cyber core, build a zealot in a moment, then build a probe in a moment, chronoboost zealot
after the gateway is done all chrono boosts go on that gateway while you build probes nonstop
second gas when money permits
keep pumping probes nonstop, keep building units out of your gateway nonstop. make 3 zealots then a stalker. choke your ramp with a zeal and search your base for probes/pylons with your other units. drop third pylon when you can. stargate when you have 150 gas. should be quick
saturate your first base with 27 probes then stop. dont make any more than 27
after stargate, keep pumping stalkers and probes and make 3 more gateways after you have 3 zealots and 2 stalker produced.
dont research warpgate. i found early game building 4 gateways and just having units in production nonstop can keep up production and fight a 4gate by your enemy because usually your enemy will not micro his 4 warpgates perfectly, where you on the otherhand keep units queue'd in your 4 gateways so you always get maximum amount of units from your gates. 4 gateways is better than 3 warpgates to produce units, 4 gateways costs 600minerals, 3 warpgates costs 500minerals 50gas. your enemies 4 warpgates will outproduce your 4 gateways, however in testing i have found that i can fight off and defeat a 4warpgate attack from my enemy with my 4 gateways
heres the plan. if your enemy does 4gate to attack you, then you pump mass stalkers/zealots out of your 4 gateways to defend it.
so whats the deal with the stargate?
hopefully you built the stargate by your mineral line after you killed the enemy scouting probe with your fast stalker. so if the enemy went 4gate he wont be able to use a observer to scout your stargate. he usually wont know its coming.
with the stargate you only want to build 1 void ray and thats it. dont make any more than 1. fly that void ray around the map to your enemies base. by the time your enemies 4gate is pressuring you, you are defending it with your 4gateways. usually your enemy will send all of his units to fight you, and theres nothing in his base. wait for a big battle to happen between your stalkers/zeals and your enemies stalkers/zeals and then send the void ray into the enemies mineral line.
your void ray will kill 1 probe in a few seconds and charge up once, then your void ray will kill a second probe in 3 more seconds and get maximum charged. after your void ray is fully charged, hold position over your enemies mineral line and have fun killing probes. your void ray will be fully charged, if your enemy warps in 2 stalkers to fight your void ray just keep holding position over his mineral line and your void ray will destroy those stalkers shields so fast your enemy will have to pull back. as he pulls back his probes will die or his stalkers will die. your enemy has to warp in at least 3 stalkers to fight back your charged void ray (usually he wont even do that).
usually what happens is you are fighting your enemies 4gates with your 4gates, and then as you are fighting you send the void ray in and charge it up on his probes and kill his probes and bam you are no in a advantage position
the void ray costed you 400minerals and 300gas (150/150 stargate 250/150 void ray. when you sent the void into your enemies base, usually you will kill 2 probes. your 400/300 unit killed 100min of your enemies units. your enemy has to warp in 3 stalkers to fight the void ray and 3 stalkers cost 375/150. if your enemy only warps in 2 stalkers then your void ray can fight it.
also, usually your fully charged void ray will kill 2-3 extra probes before the stalkers finish warping in. that means your void ray killed 5 probes (250min) and made your enemy warp in 3 stalkers (375min/150gas) to fight the void ray. at this point your opportunity cost beats his opportunity cost plus your enemy has to spend time rebuilding probes and you are chronoboosting your 4 gateways and pushing his base.
usually with the void ray if my enemy doesnt pull all his probes i will focus fire probes (while stalkers kill my void ray) and kill a few more probes since charged void rays take them out fast. usually my VR will kill 8 probes before its taken out which is worth it.
at this point you are ahead of your opponent in tech (you got 4gates and stargate) and probes/economy. your enemy will probably FF his ramp to stop you but you are ahead at this point. expand and hopefully your early advantage lets you win
