Here is my current and unfinished project incineration zone remake, taking turtling to the extreme.

changes: backdoor expansion only has one gas, this one gas can be harassed by 13 range tanks, nothing else on the ground can reach that far, I havent tested if stalkers can blink overr yet but they can use the gold expansion as a vantage point to bling into the base, hilarity ensues. Zerg now has its open ground midfield, added some more doodads and shizzle.
map has now been tested with all 3 factions, gold expansion can be used to construct a pylon and warp in units onto the opponents main, blink stalkers can blink across the backdoor expansions, sieged tanks can harass the backdoor expansions Vespene geyser but wont reach the mineral lines.
reapers can no longer jump into the crystal doodads, and thats that. Unless someone have a final comment i will be submitting it to the contest people and upload it to sc2 mapster as soon as i get approval from the contest holders to release the map..

I like it quite a bit, but as a Terran it's kinda wet-dreamy. Seems very easy to defend a bunch of bases.

IMO make the back expansion mineral-only. Having three easy gases like this has the potential to create some imbalances.

There needs to be at least one wide open area for zerg to exploit. Terran and protoss are very good at exploiting chokes and stalkers can blink across the back bases.. so zerg needs some love to balance the map... I say open up that whole middle light red area and make the 4th (lower level) base completely wide open. Then put destructable rocks to the 12 and 3 o'clock bases to force the issue.

This looks like it could be really interesting. Almost Scrap Station like, longer rush distance but still close air.
Shape wise, reminds me of a metroid.

well there is that and the way that the mineral patches on incineration zone are lined up, makes a pokemon drawing of.... JIGGLYPUFF ;D

Nope its cause games will last till both players are at 200% every stock (turtlefest)
