It's a pretty straight forward basic map. Follows in line with these common maps of their era's: LT BlueStorm Dhalia Of Jungle Luna Gaia Python 2v2 @ GG No LAG! Although Zodiac never really took off and that map is pretty basic. | ||

God's Garden is 3-base, 3-gas play. Seems Zerg favored just because of that to me, initially, but anything else is going to have to be a secret expansion. Definitely macro play, kind of bleh. Looks like it might have been a good map if 2v2 was still around, though. Maybe one would have gone into mid-game... Besides the buildable middle on Neo Medusa, the only thing that's changed is the 7 o'clock base is going to wonder where their geyser is and there's a spot outside the 11 natural that you can't drop a tank at anymore. Hope it's enough... I thought Outsider was an island map at first and got really excited, but there are hard to see ramps. =( Looks like we might see the Terran CC floating advantage come into play again... And I think Zerg can get a 2-gas hatchery at one of those side expos if they want, that's awesome. Probably going to see most of the conflict AWAY from the map's center, which is really cool and fits the name. I feel like Heartbreak Ridge is going to be rigged PvT. Not sure why, I guess it just looks like Katrina in some ways and pylonning my exit is going to be fucking murderously annoying. Sorry, wanted to get down my initial thoughts so I can see if I have any claim to being a balanced cartographer. =D | ||
