Blizzard don't deserve that I buy this game, it's not about the $40, it's about the poor quality of the game, specially of multiplayer balance. 3 years to reach this point? .... better go ps4 to play diablo 3.... LOL

I understand the amount of work and effort went into making the game. It is no easy feat to make a game in the gaming industry nowadays. Unfortunately I just do not enjoy SC2 anymore as they have deviated to far from the traditional model that brought them so much success. Initially I bought SC2 due to the immense amount of enjoyment I got from BW. After season 4 I realized how piss poor the support for the games problems were.

Furthermore using the guise of security and to protect their game by removing lan/forcing people to be online(The list can go on)* to use their product was just baffling for me. Gave it a shot anyways but I will not be buying HOTS. SC2 is a product that cannot recreate those feelings of playing a well developed RTS like SCBW did.
Good luck to Blizzard because they got a lot of work to do with SC2 and D3. If they can address the core issues with the game and fix their mistakes, I will become a consumer once again and buy HOTS. I value HOTS at being $29.99 USD it is not worth a penny more.

i can see that a lot of people will still play WOL. So even if you don't get the expansion, you can still play SC2 on Bnet. But I got a feeling that they will not update WOL as much as they focus on HOTS (as HOTS is the hottest thing right now).

I will get it for sure. Some say it isn't worth it or why they pay full game price for a partial game/expansion. I guess that's your call. Our purchasing power (or in this case, by not buying) is our own free choice. SC2 is a good game despite the imbalance. I see a lot of valid points about imbalance and the need to address these issues. But SC1/BW got through so much changes over the years that it is a totally diff game than it first came out. So balance issues will always be evolving.

At the end of the day, do I enjoy the campaign and the multi-player? Yes and yes.

By far, SC2 is one of the best RTS around.

Going to play campaign on some friends account and not buy it myself. There's no way Blizzard is getting another dime from me after the disappointment that was D3.

I pay well over 100 dollars a year watching starcraft 2 ill pay 40 bucks to play it for as long as i want, doesnt seem expensive to me at all. I used to think paying for starcraft 2 ( GSL MLGS and such ) was a waste, but it feels good to support what you like.

This is my hope:
- Hots fails terribly
- Legacy of Void gets cut
- somehow the rights for StarCraft trademark get bought by some other company, peferrably some an open source initiative
-> We finally get a Real successor of BW

Blizzard support of WoL made me from sc2 fanboy to "casual tournament watcher". So i'll continue enjoy sc2 tournaments, but not game itself(playing it).

not the price, just the fact that i dont play WoL anymore and don't see why i should try HoTS as there isn't much new except the campaign which will suck anyway

if they add the functionality of spectating live games in game (like in other games like dota 2) i would consider purchasing this. At the moment, I see no reason to splash out any cash on this.
