I don't think I have the desire to practice enough to be decent. So unless the arcade games blow the WoL ones away and there is more variety then probably not. Which seems pretty crazy to me because I still love following the scene and I played a fuckton of WoL for the first 1.5 years.

It kinda sucks paying £33 for HOTS which is equivalent to >~$51 but not much choice there if you are a starcraft/esports enthusiast..

If you have no intention of playing it professionally I don't see any reason as for why to feed Blizzard even more.
Because you know, it's not like they tried super hard to make their promises come true in WoL... (talking all the features that were supposed to be added but still aren't / took em forever to do it.), but on the other hand they charge the same prize as the full game?
That's what I call customer friendly.

To pay for the expansion almost the same as for a whole game? I'll find other ways to enjoy SP until the price will go down.
For me as Terran player it doesn't make sense to pay £27 only for one additional unit (spider mine).
I surely can wait to play MP + achievements until the price will drop.

Meh, $40 for an expansion is way to much I feel. I am fine waiting until it drops to $15-$20. After all its not like the new units completely overhaul the metagame, if anything it has stayed the same with some added units "just because".

Honestly I was hoping HOTS would of fixed zerg's anti air, gave terran better GtA, gave protoss some area control unit (aside from HT/Collo) and drop overall supply requirements for units - or at least raise the supply cap. Meh, maybe I am just a dreamer...

i got it as soon as i was able. its deffo worth the money because of the community but i dont think blizzard are doing a good job with the balance of races.

You just know the login servers are going to crash and burn on launch and be flakey for a while after. Going to be buying it for sure, but I'll be waiting a weekend or 2.
