For sure i am less interested in mlg now then i was, back when naniwa or huk won it.Dunno call me stupid but this was at least for me the "foreigner" tournament...a way to see the best europeans and americans fighting for the big prize.the glory etc. Now that koreans were added to the mix all you see is koreans won, korean, second place, third place and YAY highest place for a foreigner was huk's 7'th place. If i wanted to see koreans owning i would watch The GSL.

For me it is just the other way round: I would not care at all who wins it, if there were no koreans. Who wants to see cruncher oder slush top5? You know something is going wrong when this happens -.-

Definitely. I just don't know as much about MMA or MVP as Huk, Ret or Idra. It's not fair to them but it is what it is.

edit: FWIW, Dongreagu vs MMA was crazy, and from a purely gameplay perspective much more interesting than the foreigner vs foreigner games.

Just a bit, it would be nice to see more non-korean players in Top 4 at least.
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I don't have a relation to most koreans yet.
Boxer ofcourse is awesome, and MC I can relate to, even Puma I could cheer for.
MMA and MVP didn't leave a lasting impression on me - hope they return more often so I remember them better.

It's just that they are new and got the language barrier in interviews, but a Yellow/Boxer/July/Nal_Ra tourney would be just as emotional for me as a White-Ra/Goody/Idra/Naniwa tourney.

For me, there should just be done more to show the players distinct personality, espacially the koreans who often seem more shy and arn't as dividing in love or hate.

Voted for best players.

I'll be honest. I enjoy watching foreigners much more than Koreans. I think mostly because I know more about the foreigners. That being said, I'll root for Boxer any day.

I don't think I dislike the Koreans, I just like the foreigners. I like WhiteRa, Huk, Tyler, Ret, Jinro, Haypro, Socke, Goody, ToD, Thorzain, TLO, Kiwikaki, Machine, Cruncher, DeMuslim, etc.

I also like Boxer and MMA (and MC and Losira to some extent) because I have gotten to know them a bit more. I think I feel the same way as a lot of people. I don't want to see the Koreans fail, I want to see the foreigners that I know more about and have grown fond of do better.

I don't get mad that a Korean won, I get mad that none of my favorite players won.

I voted for the TvT thing. So many tanks and vikings, damn...

It wasn't the fact there was just Koreans left over.

It wasn't the fact they were all Terrans, and have nothing but TvTs.

It was the fact they were all Koreans playing nothing but TvTs.

If you looked at the brackets, you would have known immediately who was going to win it in the round of 4.

Best players, always for me. However, being Korean vs Korean I did have higher expectations for the finals. Nothing negative.

Of course I was disappointed to see that no foreigners made the final matches. But the best players are always going to win. Nothing needs to change. I wanted a foreigner (specifically IdrA) in the finals, but he/none of the them made the cut. That's just how it is.

So basically, I was disappointed in what happened, but I'm not upset that the Koreans took over MLG. They are the best and they deserved it. Great win by MVP and a fun tourney to watch.

MLG kept me glued to the screen because I was rooting for the underdogs (foreigners). Once they were out I skipped to the finals, and barely paid attention. If the best players in the world had all competed and MVP/MMA got to the finals (and preferably more than a lame-ass Bo3), I would have watched in a heartbeat, but that wasn't the case.

I want to watch the best of the best, or cheer for who I feel like cheering for. Sub-par games by foreigner stompers against each other didn't seem interesting.

I'm not "upset" they won. I'm sure they deserved it. Just stopped caring about who was winning.

I voted yes it affected me, I pay Gom to watch the best Koreans, I pay MLG to watch the best of the foreigners. Once all the non-Koreans dropped out I lost interest in the tournament.

Having EVO at the same time certainly didn't help out MLG. I cannot stand Marvel, but you have to admit that was amazing play to reset the finals.

Once the last foreigner went down I clicked X and didn't really care to watch 6 Koreans battle out for a Code S spot... I can do that in the Up and Down matches. Good Tourney but disappointing end.

Honestly I kind of wanted a foreigner vs Korean ending. Having 6 Koreans battle it out at the end really drove the point home how much most foreigners suck compared to Koreans. It affected my interest mainly in that as long as there are Koreans, MLG can't be the "foreigner tournament".

Watching Koreans is great, they are the best players in the world and possess the skill level that all others are compared to. If they take every MLG it's because they work the hardest, play the best, and deserve to win. However, watching Terran, especially TvT, all day every day is boring and I would like to see a more even balance of match-ups and races.

I think Korean play is more interesting in the GSL. When I watched MLG, i watched to see Huk, Naniwa, Ret and Idra play some epic games.
Instead, we were shown Korean Terrans defeating everyone else....repeatedly.

They are some of the best in the world, but when the last zerg (DRG) lost, I refused to watch another blue flame hellion battle.
