The fact they were both Korean, and Terran affected me a bit. I wasn't too excited for them. It was still okay to watch.

I enjoy watching the GSL/GSTL for the skill and competition, but look forward to foreigner events to watch foreigners duke it out.

I can only hope that the more Koreans we have attend foreigner events that the skill gap between the two can shrink.

I just want to see good games.. although a non-mirror final would have been more entertaining, though.. I watched the winner/losers and finals with my brother, he thought they were great.

I was hoping to BoxeR vs. White-Ra finals. That was the dream finals for me at that event. Too much TvT's imo.

If I only wanted to watch a SC2 tournament for the sake of watching the best players, I would've bought a GomTV subscription by now. Nuff said. Also, TvT meh

Of course it produces the best games if the best players are playing, but it's just no where near as fun if there's not a Foreigner underdog taking on the Korean machine.

Koreans are so OP.

After reading that article about Dustin Browder and HotS, so many Terrans is starting to make more sense. SlayerS is to Terran as oGs is to Protoss

I voted yes very much, not because i have anything against watching the koreans play, i dont, but because i find it very sad that the koreans are dominating the scene so hard, and taking all the top placement in foreigner tournaments. I am afraid this may hurt the foreign scene quite badly when the foreign players realise that they have no chance of winning a tournament if the koreans are attending it.

Of course not, and the TvTs were quite entertaining too. Especially Boxer-MMA was epic.

Out of all mirror matchups I like TvT the most: because of all the various styles each player can employ. It can be highly defensive in mech vs mech, highly mobile with bio play, and can also be extremely volatile with hellions in the mix.

I wish other mirror matchups can be as exciting: at least nestea showed us some "new builds" in GSL finals that deviates from the normal "roach spam timing".

However, watching the same matchup (TvT) over and over and over again can be a little bit repetitive: especially for those whose main race is not Terran.

I stopped watching about 40 minutes through the first BoxeR vs. Rain game. Quite boring IMHO. Should probably qualify this. I thought that there were opportunities for both players to attack sooner and they just choose not to. That continued for 20-30 minutes before I became bored and switched off the stream. I'm not saying anyone played poorly, I just didn't enjoy it.

Would you have watched the finals if they were Jinro vs. BoxeR?

I 90% of the time route for the underdog in all sports unless its someone I respect or from the UK. (often this is the underdog anyway )

While I like korean play I must admit the language barriers I don't enjoy, the interviews all seem the same almost structured approach with mostly the same format. Well apart from what boxer said before going against MMA.

I think the KvK is actually sometimes dull, the background story can almost be removed since often there isn't one. Where as foreigner vs korean there is always massive amounts of stuff going on and huge amounts of hype, Idra vs MC last MLG, could not ask for a better show.

I think its also partly me as I don't follow that much GSL only watch a little bit now and again. So players like DRG (who people seem to over hype by coming out and saying he is going to win and all the blah blah blah, needless to say I am like who the fuck is that :S :S :S :S Is he in code S, No, is he in Code A, no :S How the hell would I know him :S (not 100% what code he is in, but you get my drift)

Overall as long as there is a limited number of koreans it is a good thing 1 Per group is perfect in my eyes ( maybe also bring some underrated crap ones just one MLG for old times pre korean sake.

Also tuned out when Boxer lost.
Couldn't care less if MvP or MMA would have won the final :p.
Watching the best players is great but giving all foreign prizemoney to koreans will just make the foreign Scene fall more and more behind

Best players, wherever and whenever. It was a bit of a downer it were so many TvTs, but im quite sure that will work itself out.

-.- Sigh all the TvT weren't great, even the good ones (sigh the middle 30 minutes of Boxer Rain G1), but it was better than watching some lower quality games.

What the fuck does Nationality matter? This whole topic/question seems racist IMHO. This topic is resurrected at every major tourney involving Koreans.

Does it matter if the players are from the Ukraine, Sweden, Korea, USA, Canada or fucking New Guinea for that matter?

NOOOOOOOOOOO! IT DOESNT MATTER FOR SHIT.

edit: And if you think TvT is boring, then just admit to yourself that Starcraft probably isn't for you. It's not for everyone. Games take a while to start up and the first action is often the last action. Thus is the nature of the game. If one isn't tuned in to the subtleties of the players builds, a SC game could be seen as a long waiting game.
