While the obvious choice is Idra, the brackets are setup such that it's possible Idra won't be the furthest out of the choices (read as: brackets stacked to be easy for Nada and Boxer).

Picked IdrA, but wouldn't be suprised to see NaDa make it to the semi's with his bracket, i think he will beat BoxeR if it comes down to it. IdrA has been so solid, and i think hes so focused after getting taken out last season due to poor scouting. He wont let it happen again.

That's lame. IdrA has a much better chance of going further than BoxeR, not to mention the fact that IdrA beat him in a ladder game.. before the patch.

Think this poll reflects the truth with IdrA at top, but I'm not convinced BoxeR will go further than Nada. Think Nada is probably the better player.

People are picking Idra because he's a proven champion. Boxer and Nada are considered by some to be past their prime. Additionally SC2 is a new game and so experience is a huge factor... Idra has seen it all, but there may be a hole or two in Boxer's or Nada's games... perhaps a strategy they don't know exactly how to react to yet. With less experience they'll also have slightly less "feel" of things like ok, my opponent's mutas should be done right about now.

On the other hand, Boxer and Nada have easily made the round of 32 while proven winners like Tester and Top didn't even qualify... so really, who knows.

Between Boxer and Nada right now though, I'd have to pick Nada. His macro is very strong and Boxer's is less strong, and macro is a huge deal in SC2. Boxer's advantage in the micro department doesn't pay off as much in SC2 as it did in BW.

In the poll I had to choose Idra because zerg is winning everything lately.

I can't imagine any Terran beating Idra with Clide out of the picture. If either of them makes it further than Idra I think it will be directly due to bracket difficulty.

People are picking Idra because they think with their hearts..
Idra has lost several games in MLG vs T although he said his best MU is ZvT..
Checking the brackets, Idra has a strong chance to qualify for quarter finals, but after that "macro play" will not be awarded.

I just dont feel comfortable when watching Idra, because he is just droning, macroing so hard that i get the feeling he walks on a thin rope every game except ZvZ.. But he walks pretty good surely

Did you guys see what IntoTheRainbow did last GSL? FINALS! Without even practising much.. he even said that himself.

So I really think BoxeR/Nada have big chances to reach atleast RO8. Ofcourse IdrA has more experience but you cant understimate Boxer or Nada even in SC2...remember SC2 Showmatch Nada TLO... with 1 week practising or so...

Considering if those brackets are accurate Idra definitely has the potential to reach semis and face the winner of Boxer vs Nada and probably win too unless it's Boxer and he pulls a Boxer move. Boxer going through Nada in quarters though? Not so much. The other semi will be fucking hell to reach though for anyone not named Fruitdealer.

This poll would make more sense if it was Boxer, Nada and MVP imo. Or even Boxer, Nada and Sangho.

Why are we comparing Idra to famous BW progamers?

this is a testament to the fact that TL isn't like what it used to be.

a few years back, no matter how outlandish the question, HIM would an autowin for any poll he was included in.

now, somehow idra is winning.
for shame.

but back on topic,

lol Idra comes against MVP in the Ro16. This will be his end. Nada and Boxer meet each other in the Ro8 so both will go further than idra... Doesn't mean that idra plays worse than Nada or Boxer, I can't say that atm but he definetly has the stronger opponents.

I don't think that you have any clue. You saw max. 2 serious games of Boxer how can you possibly say that he is better or worse than Idra?

NADA!!!! Just look at his fucking APM, I really don't think Boxer has the mechanics anymore, and Idra is just not man enough to defeat Nada, COME ON!

I think Boxer is ahead of Nada in terms of strategy and builds, nada plays too standard and that'll punish him in the later rounds.

Idra is way ahead of both of the terrans.

Well Boxer and NaDa end up playing each other, and IdrA seems to have fewer notable players in his bracket (unless I'm remembering wrong), so even though Boxer and NaDa are arguably (note, not definitely) better than IdrA, I think IdrA has the best chance of going far. At the very least, only one of Boxer and NaDa can get past the quarter final.

Not trying to shit on the legends or anything, but Idra is waaaaaaay more experienced when it comes to SC2. Just look at any of his recent games, he's extremely solid.

Since this is not SC1 and the legends aren't all that experienced yet, IdrA definitely has the best potential at the moment IMO.

As a YellOw fan, seeing Boxer second is a warm feeling in my heart =)
But people are overestimating idra, as he has a harder bracket, and I'm not sure he has his nerves problem really fixed (remember TSL2...).
But yeah TL's not what it used to be, that's not shocking anymore :/
Idra winning the poll while people saying Nada plays too standart is pretty funny too.
I'd say Nada.

Grack or Boxer definately. Nada didn't look that spectacular to even be favorite reaching ro16. Zerg being strong now makes me think Idra should be favorite (among the 3) for sure.

if you think Idra is better than 2 of the best BW players of all time...did you see how fast their skills translated into SC2?

I guarantee you both of them are making it further than Idra.

Right now I think that Idra is better than both Boxer and NaDa. However, neither of the latter have the hardest brackets, so it's a good chance they will meet in the Ro8 which means one of them is guaranteed a spot in the semis. To get there Idra would have to beat Gon and then most likely mvp and Iron, though I don't see that as impossible I give it worse odds of happening than both Boxer and Nada making the Ro8. I would favor Boxer in a game between him and NaDa, so I vote Boxer.

My hope is that both Idra and Boxer make the semis though.

Idra looks just so strong right now.

If he picked up some cheesier strategies he could actually be the best (assuming he doesn't hit a string of ZvZs )

Idra has way harder brackets, but also way more experience. Idra will likely meet ogsgon, mvp and either makaprime or ogsthewind. oGsGon, mvp and oGsTheWind are Ts and Idra is very confident in ZvT and I believe that he can beat makaprime straight up. Idra is very likely to reach semis where he'll probably face of against nada or boxer, but again Idra is both more experienced and he is Z while they are T. Idra would have to be unlucky to not reach finals. With the play he has shown he definitely deserves it.

Nada and Boxer may come back to dominate, but they are not ready yet.

The best part is people saying Idra has better mechanics than Nada...

They might not even know who Nada is. Or the "Idra would be unlucky not to make the finals"

He didn't even make it out of Ro32 season 1 and lost to some nobody, Lotze.

Why do people keep saying "I cant believe people are picking idra over someone like boxer or nada they must not know who they are from sc1". If youve watched the games Idras played compared to the games boxer or nada has played Idra is playing so much more solid right now than either of them. Not to mention that im pretty sure Idra has stomped boxer on the ladder a few times(can someone confirm this?).

ladder means nothing when talking about Bo3/Bo5. I've seen one game that Artosis cast and it was far from a stomping

HOW is it even possible that BoxeR is losing his second poll?
I mean sure this is Starcraft 2 related and people might not know about the emperor, but still how is it even possible, after he brutalized his first opponent in such a commanding fasion, that people are even considering to vote against him?

I mean Idra is a great player but it's Boxer man

Wtf has happened? I used to recall Boxer winning every poll, even the ones he shouldn't have won. But now there's a perfectly reasonable poll that he's eligible to win, and he's not winning?

What's wrong with TL?

IdrA cause zerg is imba.

/troll

But seriously.. he just has a lot more SC2 experience than boxer and nada, and given the current trends of people trying to do funky early game attacks against him due to his preference for macro play, as long as he is vigilant in scouting, he should thwart the shenanigans and either win outright or move to macro mode on even footing.

Idra has much more experience in SCII than the the Terrans and he seems to be in quite a good shape, too. This makes me think that he will make it the furthest.
And yes, I do know who Nada and Boxer are but I'm not sure if being a former SC1 legend will help you THAT much. It's still a different game.
But in a few months or so I can very well imagine seing former BW pros dominating some bigger tournaments.

What? After Gon he's going to play (T)MVP.... not sure if serious, then he has either MC/IrOn, Zergbong(Nestea) or Maka in the Ro8.

I like Idra's ZvT... so not too worried bout his bracket at all

Its a tough one, NaDa and Boxer great BW pros but the fact that they have not played much sc2 make think IdrA, but i think Boxer with his expirence can go farther, (ilogic right )
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

So from a recent poll we found out that 95% of TL claims to know who Boxer is. However according to this more recent one only 28% know WHO BoxeR is.

Other poll for reference.

Do you know who "Boxer" is? :

Yes (8942) 82%

I just found out recently (1424) 13%

No (561) 5%

All play and no work makes Jack unemployed.

IdrA is the best SC2 player in the world, or is a VERY close second to FruitDealer/HopeTorture. He got knocked out last time because of a single mistake. Bullshit aside, he should win.

Although I will admit that Boxer's interview after his Ro64 win gave me the nerdchills.

lol, based on what?

You don't prove you're the best in the world at a Blizzard RTS (or a "VERY close second") by exclusively beating Westerners.

If Idra wants to prove he's that good then he has to do it by taking out the top Koreans, not beating the likes of Huk and Kiwikaki in NA tournaments.

Lol.

This poll is good evidence that a lot of the TL'ers now never kept up with the BW pro scene.

Nada stayed competitive in BW for a whooollle lot longer than Boxer, and Nada's mechanics are FAR superior. My guess is that Nada will make it at least as far as Boxer, and likely farther than Idra as well.

Idra voters have to be completely out of their minds.

He faces oGsGon, MVP and irOn or maka Idra won't reach the ro8.
Boxer and Nada have easy opponents they will both reach the ro8 and one of them will advance to the semifinals.
+ Idra is by far not as good as Boxer. Did you see his initial GSL games? Did you see his showmatch against Fruitseller?

Did you watch this:

IdrA beat boxer already randomly on the ladder so i think he can definitely do it again. IdrA also has more experience and his ZvT is his best match up. i know all three are good but i don't think it'll be as 1 sided as u think. you are correct though IdrA has it harder in the bracket but i have faith. as Suspense304 put it IdrA hold it down.

As much as I want to agree with you, it's really difficult to say that anyone is the best in the world at this point. The game is still so new... and that's part of the reason Idra lost in the last GSL. People won't be done showing us new things for a while... so anyone can beat anyone.

That being said, Idra's play is very solid. That's why everyone tries to cheese him. He also has a decently high win percentage on the korean servers (check sc2ranks.com). I believe he will go very far.

I think he is every bit as good as fruit dealer Sen on the other hand.... he's a definitely one of the top 3 zergs as well.

I don't claim that I could definitely say who's better. But like I said, having watched recent tourney-games of both, I _think_ Boxer is better.

While I agree that Idra prob. won't make it to the ro8, I disagree that Boxer is better than Idra. Idra already trounced Boxer on the Korean ladder a few times. Boxer isn't that great. Mechanically weak player (by professional standards).

Artosis cast a second Boxer vs Idra game, same outcome.

I'm gonna have to go with IdrA on this one. He has shown very very refined play lately with strong macro and he has grown much better at handling early rushes/cheeses which I think was his weak point. Boxer has shown great play aswell but I feel that it sometimes becomes too cutesy and if it doesn't succeed early he loses, although in an entertaining fashion.

Nada may not have the sc2 experience, but he has the micro, and the scary korean macro with 10000+ apm. I don't see how Idra could possibly make it further that Nada.

Who doesn't have to face people like FruitDealer, HopeTorture, and SangHo FFS.

Eventually Boxer/Nada/Idra will have to face them, just in the later stages true the early brackets may be easier for some rather than the others but that doesnt really matter, just means more hopefulls to knock out.

IdrA b/c he plays roaches. If he loses it will be because he doesn't use the roaches for consistent pressure.

IdrA. Seems like IdrA have been playing SC2 longer than Nada or Boxer who aren't on top form.

I dunno.. Nada is really really good actually.
He's impressed me far more than boxer has so far.
Didn't play any in BW and just caught up to the sc scene as the sc2 beta came out, so I dunno what wonders boxer can pull out of his hat, but I mean he just lost in blizzcon as well..
I hope he gets better though.. probably still has some catching up to do when it comes to units and counters and such.

nada I think. Idra is the better sc2 player at the moment perhaps but also has tougher brackets.
What really is in Idra's disadvantage though is that he is a fairly predictable player, at the later stages I think his opponents will be able to abuse this and knock him out with some rush or build that he didn't prepare well enough for.

Saw Idra's games today... and his play was so good and solid. He plays every bit as well as Fruit does and people are hell bent on saying that Fruit is the best Zerg in the world. If Idra doesn't make it to the finals, I will be shocked.

Nada is going to be a force in the months to come. He still was a decent A-level pro in Brood War at the end of his SC1 career (which sadly cannot be said about Boxer) and I believe his special set of skills will never go out of style. Boxer on the other hand... I believe you have to place someone with a gun in his booth next to him and force him to take a third base earlier, he just doesn't expand enough since like 2004.
Idra will lose to some random stupid shit executed by a better player than he faced until now. Although I have to say I'm rather impressed by him, I'm still not convinced he has it to be on the very top.

Haven't seen them play enought to tell, but i'm more confident on IdrA. Plus, today IdrA showed great skills AND a non fe macro game, i think he knows he's predictable and has decided to mix things up.

And has he said, he's probably going to end up having only ZvT to practice on until the final, and I think he's ZvT is stronger that most T's TvZ. Not sure about an eventual ZvZ final though (i'm actually praying for one of thoses guys to be knocked out, this matchup is so boring...).

I'll always vote for the foreigner, it's better for the game as a whole to not have such dominance from 1 country. (I'm fine with it being the most popular there but it needs more good foreigners, think MLB baseball taking all those Cuba and Japanese players)

That being said Idra lately is disgusting good, I watched him kill a battlecruiser with 2 queens (pretty much)

there is so much more pressure on idra than on boxer or nada. i mean, they dont have to win that much considering their switch. idra, on the other hand, got the best training methods paired with so much more experience of the game.

I think nada has a pretty good chance.. imo boxer has far far far from solid play so far, while nada plays super imba good in macro mode.
i think tasteless said that idra got so good by downloading a replay pack by nada in the bw days and copying his every move ^^

Nada is the most solid player obviously.

Idra has good macro but lacks the improvisation skills Boxer has and vice versa.

Agree with this. Zerg is in a very good position that favors Idra's stile though.

idra has more starcraft 2 experience than either of them. a lot of us thought that brood war progamers would be able to just pick up sc2 and instantly dominate, but it seems that they don't transition into sc2 as cleanly as we thought. idra has far more sc2 experience, and he's looking exceptionally solid this time around.

if idra's zvz is solid, he's going to the finals. i don't know who he's going to face in the semifinals. boxer, nada, and loner have all been playing so well. as of right now, though, I think Idra is better than all of them and as ZvT is his new best matchup, i put the odds in his favor.

Now it may become real, Nada/Boxer vs Idra in the semifinals. And I hope the Idrafanboys will calm down if they see their idol crushed by the power of a real Progamer.

I love how these three players are essentially the most watched both here and in Korea.

If you look at their round of 64 view counts on GOM Player:

Idra: 98,480
Nada: 561,797
Boxer: 2,331,562 lolol

The truth is he wasn't the better choice. At least Nada is a better players than Idra - there is no Terranplayer you can compare to Nada macrowise. Proof: watch set2 Ro16

Possibly, though to be honest I havent seen many of Nadas games for sc2 so I cant make much of a judgement on his play and im certainly not going to say hes better than anyone based on one game. Ive seen a number of Boxer games however and he seems to be making a number of mistakes, but I think he is improving.

I think Nada is extremely solid right now. Much more so than our Emperor.. But only time will tell.

I watched both games, I cant understand how nada plays
he seems to have almost the same scv count, same bases and suddenly he is 30-40 food ahead out of nowhere ... xDDD

Yeah but this guesses are backed by results . On one hand you have the most successful BW player of all time with 700 + official games played with 60 % winrate over the couse of about 10 years on the other hand there is Idra who has no achievements whatsoever in Korea . Not to mention that Nada has also shown impressive games regardless that he has been playing the game seriously for like 1 month ...

Surely playing the game a couple of months more on completely different patches won't make you a better RTS player then Nada . The facts are not even comparable . Anyone with common sense will vote Nada over Idra . But since most of the users either don't know who Nada is or don't give a damn and just vote for Idra , because they are a fan of his or just cheer for the foreigners . Then results are irrelevant .

Idra could very well be a better player then Boxer since , Boxer's level in BW has droped a lot this last years , while Nada has always been a level above them .

Frankly Idra should be winning the poll : "Which one of the three players doesn't belong with the others " instead of this one .

That's funny because if Idra played Nada my money would definitely be on Idra. And the same for Idra vs Boxer.

Now, this is just my opinion. But unlike other people, I don't try to act like it is more than my opinion.

Sc1 is not sc2. Nada is an amazing gamer and I am sure he will go far. But I wouldn't expect anyone to switch over and instantly be the best.

Lots of dogmatic opinions here from people yearning for the days of BW back.

I may have been ignorant to what bracket Idra was in, but in any match vs Boxer or Nada I would have still bet on Idra, and that's how/why I voted for him.

One month in the right practise environment with Nada's skills would probably make you one of the best player in the scene . Just look at MVP and SangHo . Played the game for 2 months and already bashing the SC2 players in GSL like they are some noobs and even thought MVP lost to probably the best zerg right now he put a really respectable fight . Even Boxer is doing decent in his games . Idra dissapointed in GSL 1 vs a mediocre protoss . He lost a ZvZ rather cluelessly right now . While Nada in the short time he has played has looked solid in TvT and TvZ . Idra would probably beat Nada in TvZ , but results speak for themselves and it's pretty difficult to say that Idra is still a better player then Nada .

Had MVP/MakaPrime won their respective sections of bracket D, IdrA would've made top 4 ezpz. Instead, he had to play ZvZ.

I'd put money on Nada vs Idra, but Idra over Boxer.

Nada went further than idra already. He is good. It's definitely naive to assume he just picked it up and instantly got good. He has been playing it since release no doubt. When he played TLO at that (Euro?) event? Do you honestly think he just learned a build that day and competed at that level vs TLO who was playing for months already?

NADAAAAAAAAAA.

But seriously, even tho I'm not really sad to see Idra go (never was a fan), I must say that he played his cards well.

Had maka beaten Zenio, Idra would've only met another zerg way further in the tournament. Why bother practicing ZvZ when you have a HUGE chance to meet only T/P?

Pity, but sometimes life deals you 2-7 offsuit.

I understand why people are voting for idra, considering he has the most sc2 experience of the three. However, i think boxer's brood war skills will serve him well. The two games are more alike then they are different! Therefor, my vote goes to boxer.

edit: wow, idra knocked out in a ZvZ? surprising!

well...since idra is out, nada already qualified for the next round and boxer has one game to advance to the next round...
i know i was already wrong with idra but hey...another day, another challenge (damn...worst unknown quote ever )
so my guess is nada now...as artosis and tasteless were joking around how furious he's gonna play after the kinda stupid loss of the first map against leenock, it was pretty funny to see how good he really played after that...even getting out of his jacket

we'll see how boxer's performing today...
and we'll also see if the "boxer-effect" hits again

im so happy zenio played so well.

it reminds me so much of idra vs F91 in BW for liquibation.
f91 does non standard and idra just keels over
or nony vs idra in TSL 2, again idra falls over to something non-standard

oh idra... how i love your epic fails =) rekrul should start betting against you again

You can argue that, assuming bw and sc2 are pretty different. There is one thing that has to do with bw though : while idra showed he was the best foreigner, he also showed that he was pretty bad under pressure. Yeah he can win some random tourneys. Still I'm sorry, but I still remember the guy losing a cc to a probe, and I really wonder how can anyone believe he can win a tournament as big as gsl.
While in the case of Nada, we all know he's not gonna crumble under pressure or because he is in a* tough spot... like just after being 4-pooled.
BTW,* in bw, Light owns at TvZ-, but who believes he is, on the whole, better than, say, Fantasy, or that he is nearly as good as jaedong ?

The Idra fame is dying imo. I was really unimpressed comparing his play vs the remaining players in the GSL.. (read: 'comparing his play')

As much as I, and most of the community, would love to see IdrA (as a foreigner) get further I don't think he'll be able to pull it of. He seems to be capped at his potential, stale, lacks creativity. While others (esp. the legends) have only 'just' started playing SC2 and you can see the potential in those guys. Like in the game vs Zenio, the overseer game, I really had the feeling IdrA is so easy to bring out of balance. Just like artosis mentioned, he plays vs AI a lot and you can tell. Ow I'm sure IdrA will be able to respond if someone does the overseer tactic again but he'll always be a step behind if something 'unexpected' happens.

I hope some day a western hero will rise from the ashes to bring down the korean reign in the GSL. I just don't think it will be IdrA. He's a working horse but he lacks the real talent.

Copy and replace IdrA with FruitDealer and you'll have made just as good a point about him.

Making judgments about a player because of one single elimination tournament is kinda duuuumb.

One single elimination tournament? Please.

You obviously haven't followed the SC scene before.

This is the SECOND GSL that Idra is missing (not even top8).
He has missed several finals (like TSL2, and the match vs F91), against under-rated people.

And it's BECAUSE he folds to unorthodox play.

I'm not saying he isn't good, I'm not even saying that he lacks talent, I am saying that he's focusing too much on playing "perfectly" and too little on playing his opponents. Someone who plays exactly the same 9 games out of 10 is not hard to beat by top players, no matter how many times he rehearsed said strategy.

That being said, I agree that he'd have had way better odds against T or even P, but I don't think he's top4 material.
Im not a n00b, I just play like one.

I wish TLO would beat a GSL someday but he lacks too much gaming sense even though he is so innovative he just needs that backbone the bonjwas have to make something appear out of nowhere defend and somehow have more food and win in the end..

We need someone amazing, that will study the game over and over again to its core details. We need the bobby fischer of starcraft from the west to take down the koreans without the psychotic personality.

A player with the unpredictability of TLO and the mechanics of idra would be needed for a foreigner.
Idra is too predictable to ever go far in a tournament like GSL imo, when he needs to play BO3 or BO5 against opponents that he doesn't severely outclass he will simply not get that far imo.
TLO has exactly the reverse problem I think, way too much goofing around, changing races etc. which just costs him in his mechanics and strategy perfection it seems. Way too many times did I see him do crappy strats for the sake of being original and different.

THe real top players have a little bit of both imo, fantastic macro & micro combined with doing the unpredictable. Fruit did a 6 pool when he deemed it neccesary, Idra will probably never do one for it being a ugly way to play. I really think Idra would benefit a lot from one of those gosu coaches or whatever to help create unconventional strats for tournaments and be a bit more stable concentration wise (less easy to put off).

I am really at a loss when I see people using being eliminated in the Ro16 of the biggest SC2 tournament in the world as a testament to being bad.

I believe the biggest disadvantage IdrA faces is not his traditional play style, but not being on a team that can provide him training partners of his skill level for all 3 match-ups.

Or its hope because its sc2 and people want Idra to go further? Think of that?

I think Idra could have if he had not gotten zvz. He has said so in the past that he doesn't really have practice partners so he just practices on the ladder. Its hard if your worst match up is zvz and its your match in a tournament but you have nobody to practice with.

I bet if Idra had players to practice with like players from ogs or something. If he did I bet he wouldn't have lost like he did against zenio (I mean he used Artosis's strategy in which he didn't really practice with...).

Oh well hopefully he does get some partners soon and hope in GSL3 he can qualify again and get far ^^
When I think of something else, something will go here

Because Boxer is ?

Boxer can probably pick up a phone and have pretty much anyone he wants as a practice partner. Idra can't. Not saying that's how Boxer practices, but I really doubt he's ever lacking in the "available partners" area.

Voted Boxer. His play has seemed a bit more solid and tight than Nada's... you know, from the like 6 total combined games I've seen which is totally enough to make a judgement call. Only considered Idra for a few moments (didn't know he'd been knocked out again).

You called it brother. I'll keep voting for boxer, even if he declares he will be playing with only one hand while building only ravens. As much as I like IdrA and NaDa, they're no Boxer.

I voted Idra because he's a better player than Boxer & Nada vs 2 races. By chance he got ZvZ so he lost. Oh well.

Hindsight is 20/20, I love all the people here claiming they "knew" this would happen.

It looked like IdrA was going to be able to play ZvT a lot longer. I would bet on IdrA over MVP, Boxer, or Nada in a TvZ right now.

Hmmm, so boxer is actually the more favoured of the two (nada).

After watching Idra at MLG, i have to say hes adapted to SC2 pretty well. He's finally playing more aggressive and knows when to commit to an attack, which i think is why he won MLG.

Now that IdrA is knocked out I would have to say that...

BoxeR is the favorite in my opinion, but NaDa is probably the most realistic choice of the three. Thats who I voted at least.

Idra is going to need to step up his game if he wants to be top 4 material. I'm kinda glad idra is out, his games are usually boring. As for who is going to get into the semifinals, Nada has a better chance of winning after watching his previous tvts but it is boxer after all. He won't go down without putting up a good fight.

I voted for idra because I hadnt seen any games of nada or boxer in sc2 and I thought that maybe their skill wouldnt translate aswell as it seems to have. I didnt see boxers game v loner but Nada v leenok was amazing the way he quite literally obliterated leenok was amazing.

Again my reasoning behind idra was because of his very solid play i mean his macro is amazing it is just that in the first game zenio screwed with what idra is best at and that really put him off. I agree with the fact that if idra could incorporate some more strange strats he would definately benefit from that. The alternate strats mixed in with his super solid macro would hopefully see him improve alot.

Atleast he can still dominate MLG which is always fun to watch

I just cant wait for Jaedong to come to sc2 that will be an interesting GSL to watch

Edit: I love how Idra is still getting votes even though he has already been eliminated

I know he's known for bm, but lately I haven't seen anything unsportsmanlike. Maybe I missed it, but when he lost GSL1 and GSL2 he was very stoic.

That's probably why Zenio told Idra to watch his mouth and did a ceremony because of how offensive Idra is on Bnet. Now, obviously, he doesn't nerd rage during GSL. That would be quite sad to see.

I could honestly see any of the remaining players taking the gold at this point. They're all so damn solid. I'll go with the heart though and vote Boxer, even if his Nada match-up makes me nervous.

it s not luck, he s just not as good. better than most (on bnet) but on live tourneys he just cant compete. if you think he s going to win anything the time to do it was in gsl1 and not now when youve got old pros and new shiny up and comers getting into the scene. i doubt hes going to perform any better in gsl3 than in gsl2. if there s going to be sc2 pl then he might get airtime on that as the novelty foreigner. i mean, every show needs a johnny fairplay.

Boxer may have been a legend in SC1, but this is SC2, a lot of good newcomers play in these big tournaments. It just takes one person with a unique strategy to throw anyone off their preset tactics. Idra lost, Boxer isn't the best at this point, only Nada seems to be pulling in the furtherest.

I assume Boxer will go back to auto-vote status now?

In the end, it didn't even matter whether the poll was about real or fake Boxer. Either answer is correct.

Man, whoever voted for Idra is idiotic and delusional. Idra is a good player, but good is subpar nowadays.

lol or they just wanted him to go further? Most people who vote go by what they want not what will probably happen. Should think about that before coming off as an ass.

Well the poll WAS on who will go furthest in the gsl, not who do you want to go furthest in the gsl. Way to call someone out on the grounds of some random psychological theory you came up with. Should think of that before coming of as an ass.

its dumb to leave this poll up, people are voting after they know whos left. did anyone take a SS of the final state of the poll before they were eliminated? It was like 70% idra
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)

Wtf Really? What happened to the good old days of BoxeR autovote? The Emperor showed you all what's up.

But yeah... I voted nada. I'm really quite shocked that boxer took him down.

How on earth could Idra even compare to Nada and the emperor himself ...
Idra would be considered lucky if he even made it into S class by the end of season 3.

Anyways, shouldn't the poll be changed now?

super sad Nada didnt win

i still havent seen a boxer match, he always seams to play when i am not able to tune in! but i figured nada was the better player since he has had more experience with SC2, and he was so good/consistent in SC:BW.

The poll results are a fucking joke. Idra does not have anywhere close to the mechanics of Boxer or Nada, let alone his static playstyle.

Two SC legends vs a no namer by results standards. If Idra wasn't white I guarantee no one would know he even existed

i kinda like foxer, too, though, but we wouldn't want the real deal losing to the faker, now would we

I suspect that wouldn't have been close at all. I mean, Foxer's good and all, but I would have never thought he'd got this far, not by a long shot.

This was put up quite awhile ago, though, and like someone else just said, no one really expected FoxeR to shoot up. I mean, could you have imagined FruitDealer getting knocked out like that around the time of Blizzcon? He seemed like a shoe-in until at least semis.

Indeed.. did you hear the commentators in the game versus fruitdealer?
They were all like "this guy is probably the worst player of gsl bla bla he's so bad, and even if he accidently kills off fruitdealers expansion, fruitdealer's still gonna be fine bla bla", and then he just raped fruitdealer. LOL.
I don't think the poll would've been very interesting before the fruitdealer game ^^

Is it me or did Boxer's numbers in this poll suddenly get a huge surge shortly after Nada and Idra got eliminated from the GSL? Kind of silly if you think about it.

My son, you must watch 5 proleague games, 3 OSL finals, and 2 MSL finals. Then read rekrul's foreigner's suck series. Go now child.

I just want to note, that I did that and that the "Foreigner's suck series" was heart breaking, it was true, completely true, but it hurt.

can we get rid of this pole, we should have just froze the pole right when idra was eliminated so everyone could see how much he's overhyped. I mean I consider tester to be way better then idra and he got taken out pretty early. The competitions is way to high for someone who can get 4-1'd easily by nony. Just becuase Idra hangs out in korea does not make him nearly on the same level as the good koreans.
Why would I play sctoo when I can play BW?
