I though IEM had better matches but the quality of the MLG event was generally higher but it ended in a sort of anti-klimax with HuK Mothership rushing and select not knowing how to play zvt. A sad end for an otherwise great event.

I went to IEM, and despite my bias because I live right HERE and could attend for free, but MLG was just miles ahead in quality and variety.

MLG was great, I enjoyed it so much, the days it was on were just great days because of it. It was a lot better than raleigh.

IEM NY could go better if they had good experience in USA before. I really think they can do better job next time, but so far I have to vote MLG.

Wish I was able to goto MLG. I went to IEM NY and was disappointed at the crowd space and the fact that I had to get an intel admin to get me a speaker badge to even see the games that started at 10am. Having the tournament at ComicCon sucks.

And there were no zergs in the tournament :-(

i thought after a few bumps in the beginning mlg was really good i can't wait for what it'll be like in 2011 and i also don't like that the vods still aren't out for iem whereas mlg released the replay pack like right after it was pretty impressive gj to them.

You should have been there, I STILL get goosebumps thinking about it. (and having started that particular chant)

but yes, my vote was for DC, not because I was there but that I felt it was better in every regard (apart from the stream which I cannot attest to since I wasn't watching it on stream.)

The casting balance was perfect, with wheat and Sean in the booth, and jp out on the floor. use jp on the floor more, interviewing players and fans.. getting our adn their reactions. I only saw him working the floor twice I think before the final.

(though I have to say if you are going to rotate jp and wheat out it seems a little unfair to ask Day9 to cast every game for 2 days and yet jp is the "Face" of sc2 MLG gaming, either call in a reliever for sean , who gets so tired after these events he cancels his daily or really give him the props he deserves with some kind of recognition.)

While the spectator area was small for the amount of people, it wasn't cramped per se which was good.

you had way more top players and way more diverse play in MLG (there were Gorram Zergs for a start)

all round a better event.
