I thought the hours for IEM were a lot better. MLG started too early on the Saturday. I think IEM was better at packing more content into the same amount of time because matches happened one after the other instead of MLG where many matches have to happen at the same time. I think IEM had the best match overall (Huk vs qxc on scrapstation).

I still preferred MLG because the presence of IdrA and the larger player pool. MLG can improve a lot of things. Maybe they could spread it over more days. I would really like it if they picked a matchup from each round 2 at a time that they designate as stream matchups, so they could delay the later one until the first one finishes. That way they could show more than one match at a time between those extended commercial breaks.

I think its clear that the MLG was way better then the IEM Event. But they are also hard to compare. IEM had a small prequalified PlayerBase (wich also had a bunch of Terrans and no Zergs wich is also not really appealing). MLG was a big open Tournament. Also MLG had a lot more popular Players then the IEM.

I think overall the MLG was the 2nd best foreigner Tournament after the IEM in Cologne.

GJ keep improving.

Agreed! MLG DC was awesome! I loved HuK's Mothership in game 2 vs Select. Plus, I think he misheard the crowd. I'm fairly certain they were saying "show the game" because the camera kept showing the players instead of what was actually happening for the first minute or 2.

IEM for the actual showing us games and less wait 20 min every 5. MLG for the player pool. Wish there was a more advanced poll to express myself on the internet!

MLG is way better casted..
and the fact it had many players it also helps... IEM only had 8 playres, all of them terran and protoss, quite boring to see after a while... But MLG games were awesome

MLG was way better than IEM NY. IEM had only very few players and not a single Zerg iirc... not very entertaining.
MLG had lots of well renown players and we had the chance to see some creative strategies here and there (eg Kiwi vs Idra game 1 or HuK vs Select game 2).

* Coverage = MLG hand down. It was just so good!
* Stream Quality = IEM simply because IEM's stream didn't die several times
* Excitement of games played = IEM Specially round of 4, there was sooo many matches that could have gone either way.
* Pre-matches excitement from just hearing the names who'll play each other = MLG hand down, specially 2nd day.

Overall, I'd say IEM was better as an viewer for me, less problems and games were hell interesting and good coverage!
