MSL he was the better player for sure, but mostly because JD was playing like shit.
At this point Flash is definitely #1, but you forgot that JD won WCG. Still, if Flash somehow becomes a mollusk then he's definitely #2.

Jaedong won WCG and MSL went to game5 so I can't easily give Flash #1 spot. Jaedong also had arguably a harder time to MSL finals playing against some very deadly TvZ players while Flash teamkilled most of the way.
If JD wins OSL uncontested then he should be #1, but if he wins Effort style then I can't put him over Flash with all of his other accomplishments.

Ultimately, if Jaedong and Flash square off in the OSL, their series will be how it is is decided. Let's not forget Flash didn't exactly play perfect against Fantasy and Leta, but it is the resiliency that puts these two progamers far above everyone else.

while I'm in no way saying that Light/Sea vZ is weaker than Stats/Forgg vT (lol who would believe that), I do have to say that teamkills are kind of tricky and can sometimes lead to upsets. Ex: Jaedong vs Backho, EVER OSL 2008 looooool.
of course Flash is the last person who would lose a teamkill, seeing as his whole team is deathly afraid of him (violet: I hate playing flash; it sent me into a slump since I could never win.)

This is unfair. Flash has gone 14 cc in 7 of the 8 last games he has played against Jaedong. Zerg has no counter to 14 cc unless it's early lings. Sometimes I think Flash fans got this figured out: Flash cuts any corners to make it into mid/late game with an advantage. Once a terran with his micro and macro is in this spot it's ofc almost impossible to beat him. If some one attacks before this, people say it requires no skill. Flash wins no matter what lol.

No they don't. Going into the final everyone and their mother was commenting on how they didn't matter and let's hope we get some good games etcetc. No one was singing Bisu or Jaedong's praises when they won the previous 2 wcgs.

Yeah, it seems like almost everybody is forgetting that. It was fucking proleague finals! The most important event in the whole season!
It's easy to diss Flash's win saying "it's just Hyuk", but let's ask Jaedong how easy is to win against Hyuk in PL finals lol. The fact is, they were playing on the greatest stage and everybody going against Flash had a huge underdog advantage. Flash on the other hand was THE man of his team that everybody was counting on.
And when the game came, he didn't dissapoint. Again, it might have looked easy, but when it's so easy why is Jaedong 0-4 in PL finals? Performing well if everybody is expecting you to do so and every your teammate is counting on you is no easy feat at all. Just look at how many great fotbal players fuck up important penalty kick.
It's baffling how people are forgetting it and bring meaningless WCG finals instead...which, according to Jaedong, felt like practice games. I'm not saying Flash should be automaticaly #1 because of it, but it needs to be taken into consideration. Especially when his biggest competitor for the top spot failed in similar situation.

Other series that "may have not been important" have traditionally been counted on power rank. Jaedong vs Flash in GSI was heavily looked at the time to put Flash above Jaedong despite it being much less important than MSL. Or the showmatch between Bisu and Jaedong for GOM.
Maybe if the Flash and Jaedong had not met in OSL I could just throw WCG out the window since Flash did beat Jaedong in their MSL series. However, depending on the outcome of OSL, my opinion is that ALL of the games between these two players need be looked at when decided between first and second.

To be fair Jaedong isn't entirely winless in PL finals. I'm pretty sure he beat Iris in one of the 07 PL "finals" when they had finals for individual rounds.
