It will be interesting to see how FvJ will end up on more even maps in the OSL finals (if they both make it; I believe they both will). Flash is certainly #1 on power rank because of his MSL win, but these two players are so close in skill it is amazing watching them play, despite some of the games being a bit disappointing. Truly these two players are the most skilled SC players we have ever borne witness to.

I hope Plexa will wait until after OSL to post Power Rank this month, though am unsure as to the policy.

September 11 is a pretty long delay.

Durp, that's a lot longer away than I was thinking it was (was looking at semi-finals, I think). That's probably too long, oh well.

The key words are "this month Power Rank" and OSL finals take place next month...So yeah!

All in all I'm quite happy with the final. Jaedong won on all maps that are somewhat even in tvz. And he should have won the series if he didn't choke in game 5. I'm confident Jaedong can win in the osl, he will have something he hasn't had in the last three msl finals: a map that favors zerg.
"To all eSports fans, I want to be remembered as a progamer who can make something out of nothing, and someone who always does his best. I think that is the right way of living, and I'm always doing my best to follow that." - Jaedong. /watch?v=jfghAzJqAp0

I'd still say jaedong is the "underdog". the osl is flash's to lose imo.

Zergliner is just going to turn it into a 3-1 for Flash as long as Jaedong refuses to do some pool first builds

Even if Dreamliner is imbalanced, it depends on spawn positions and how much Flash wants to cut corners. If he gets 3 o'clock he still stands quite a good chance of winning on the map.

Please do remember that PR is a ranking released monthly, not a ranking of monthly accomplishments -- there's nothing wrong with delaying the ranking until the end of OSL finals, because AFAIK, after the OSL finals there aren't any big events scheduled. So September rankings would be for OSL ro4 and finals only? That makes it hard to place people. It will be hard enough placing people for this month anyway.

You know, I think that the next 2 power rankings should simply be merged. There's absolutely nothing happening until PL starts.

Counting both finals they played 8 games and Flash went CC first 7 times! That is just insane. Even more insane is that Jaedong did let Flash get away with it 6 times.
There cannot be any excuse for being so predictable with his 12 hatching. I am not blaming Jaedong for the last game, I am blaming him for the the first two games of the new finals. Being unpredictable is also a skill and Jaedong massively failed at that, he just always goes 12 hatch and thus it was easy for Flash to steal a massive number of wins with Eco Cheese and without a doubt he has proven that no Zerg can hope to beat him after he got away with a 14CC (it worked ONCE for Effort with the Ling allin but that just won't happen again). Therefore Flash clearly deserves the win and thus the #1 spot at PR.

There is no reason to delay the PR at after the OSL finals since that happens in the middle of September and has nothing to do with this month. This month was all about the MSL and Flash took it.

Scout-into-14-CC is perfectly manageable if you open 2 hatch muta or 3-hatch-before-pool.

Unless the map has easy complete wall-ins, difficult expansions for Zerg, and becomes progressively more Terran favored as it goes into the late game.

Then it kind of blows for Zerg and goddamnit JD should've 4pooled. For the first two games.
My strategy is to fork people.

If you don't delay it, then 4 players will be the only ones affected. Not really much you could write about.

Yeah, Flash is good in adapting. It only took him a whole year to stop turtling against the dragons and try timing pushes for once.

Strangely, it kinda correlated with removal of super protoss-biased maps
