Man, does it suck to be protoss.
In that game for some reason, I got the feeling he felt intimidated by Bisu, based on his excellent PvZ past. His characteristic aggression was missing, and he decided not to press when he had the advantage. I don't think he'll come with the same mindset to the starleagues.

JD's ZvP is beyond ridiculous. Nothing BW-related would surprise me more than if JD lost a Bo5 to a Protoss. It just won't happen.

I agree with the above. Bisu deserves a lot of credit for his win. Jaedong might not have played his best starcraft that day, but you often can only play as good as your opponent allows you too (of course Jaedong also threw away some units very carelessly).
If you read Jaedongs interviews these days, it seems that in his mind he does not even consider the possibility of losing a zvp.

Like most people here I think that JD clearly deserves #1 this month, but the wins vs. Movie were mostly because Movie played horrible. Especially G1 when he sent his Archons into JDs defended base instead of defending with them like a good boy was just about he worst decision of a Progamer I've seen this year. JD would have probably won nevertheless but damn I was disppointed about Movie.

Jaedong lost to Stork in February or March of this year was his last zvp loss. I watched it live and was shocked

Also, did Flash forget how to TvT? This time he got raped by Light doing a super greedy build. Hey, lets pretend wraiths don't exist. Detection is overrated anyway.

At this point, I open KT proleague threads and expect to find that Flash has lost.

Personally I'm still waiting for the SLs and PL Finals to make a complete judgement, but it's definitely not helping me feel good about Flash's next couple of big games

I don't know what was up with Flash. A lot of Flash's losses recently have still be well played games. This was just: wtf?
In other news, Hiya is looking like he deserves a return to the Power Rank. But Baby is looking like he needs to drop off it.

Hah. KTY 2-0 MSL group in sexy PvZ fashion. HiyA is balling. BaBy is not.

It is simply breath-takingly scary to see the meticulous sair sniping, 5 at a time, the instantaneous storm-dodging, and the muta micro, not to mention the very solid macro from JD playing a protoss. Remember when Flash's TvZ was considered bullet-proof? Jaedong's ZvP now seems on the same level. I really can't imagine what would have gone through the head of the protoss players as they faced Jaedong...
At least in TvZ a weak zerg can realistically have a chance of winning by cheesing Flash, especially with an early game cheese, but it seems difficult for protoss to cheese zerg, at least with respect to early game. 2 gate is a poor form of cheese, and anything after the first 5 minutes would almost certainly be scouted by JD. So, in short, JD just looks invincible in ZvP, and this is reinforced by the fact that protoss does not have a good early game cheese that can catch a good player like JD off-guard.

baby is on a cold streak... i think he'll bounce back, but who knows how long it'll be before he really contends in a starleague, or if he ever will

JD lost once to Rock. 3-1. At that time ZvP is probably his weakst MU.
Savior was also invincible in BO5 to a Protoss, before his 0-3 to a Protoss in MSL Final.
The only BO5 between JD und Bisu was very close, with JD come out on top (3-2). Bisu was on top form back then. Nowadays is JD so good and very confident in this MU, there is no Protoss at moment who can really challenge JD at this MU in BO5.

Also, I think we'll find Flash doing fine come the ends of starleagues and the SPL finals, but I'll bet that he won't reach dual finals again.

Yes that was at the time his ZvP was like 40% and considered by far his weakest match-up. He's obvously talking about the current Jaedong.

Am i right to assume that was 2006 (?) that was before Jaedong assumed ZvP dominance (OSL win over stork)
Im pretty sure Holgerious is talking about "current , tear your skin off with my eyes" Jaedong

I really would not get too worked up about JD's PvZ. The only thing that happened was a loss toBisu(who seems to be in a good shape again) and a win against "Britney". And I would never count the last game on his record because even if you like JD you would want to scratch your eyes out watching this unbelievable fail. That was literally a defense that every d-level player on ICCUP does better. Anyway I am deaply disappointed in how MBC decieded to go into the ACE match. Jaehoon has won so few games recently so why does he get to play when both teams should send out their best players?

Before those games, however, he was on a ridiculous tear against Protoss. And all in all he is 35-8 in his last 43 ZvP's, which coincidentally is exactly the same record Savior had at the height of his ZvP dominance.
Jaedongs vP is quite clearly the most dominant matchup in all of BW right now.

It took miracles from Bisu and Stork to beat Jaedong. No other protoss has even a chance in a bo1 let alone a bo3 or bo5. Jaedong's ZvP is only a completely different tier than everyone else, and that is saying something considering how the matchup has been lately.
