Ironically, even though I have had beta since the beginning, I have spent a lot more time watching SC2 VOD's then playing SC2.....which is similar to my BW experience. Is there someone that doesn't have the Beta? Because I can comprehend people playing SC2, but not preferring to watch it over SC1. I watched nothing but SC2 until I got my beta key. I still watch SC1 daily, but I think the hunt for new strategies in SC2 is a little more interesting than the perfection of old strategies in BW. (Edit: Misquoted) | ||

I simply watch more SC2 because that is what I play and am interested in. I played SC1 years and years and years ago, but never competitively. Sure I kept up with it in the sense that I knew there was a pro-scene, but I never watched games really, nor do I now. Now that I play SC2, a game that is only in beta and already has a vibrant and growing eSports scene, with many tournaments going on weekly, why should I care about watching Broodwar? A game embroiled in scandal and that will likely, if SC2 does well, fade away anyways as SC2 replaces it. We already have many pro SC1 players, especially "foreign" players, moving over to SC2 in mass. I could care less about watching a game, broodwar, that is already becoming "yesterday's" eSport. | ||
