I was Silver before the last ladder reset, but after restarting yesterday I went 5-0 in the placements and got put in Plat.
4 wins later I'm 9-0 and at the top in my ladder.
Take advantage of the easy Platinum while it lasts;;

started in gold after placement, dropped to silver after getting owned a couple of times, slowly working my way back up now...

I don't know how to deal with reaper rush and 8 pools as protoss, and those happened to me three times in my placement matches. So i went 2-3 in them and got placed in copper.
I played a few games after that and won them all. so hopefully will be moving up soon.

For the people stating that in their placement games they only played copper - silver players with maybe 1 gold... It matters what skill level you picked for yourself the first time you hit the multi-player tab (beginner - intermediate - advanced ... or whatever they are exactly)
For example. Beta start I chose beginner, went 4-1 and got into silver.
First reset I chose inter, went 3-2 and got silver
Latest reset I chose advanced, went 3-2 and got gold.
The system will play you against better players if you estimate your skill being better.

I got placed in silver because every single loss I've had so far has been the game crashing or disconnecting. Lost 2 placement matches and a match right after that. You have no idea how irritating it is to almost win several games in a row and end up sending in an error report instead.
Also I don't have a key yet, still sharing one. Amazon is being mighty lazy about sending them.

New league divisions are being made daily, even hourly or quicker, at the rate the beta is growing. It is perfectly reasonable that in a brand new division that 9-0 would be placing first.

I'm in gold but should really be ranked lower as 2 people dropped in my placement matches. I'm new to RTS.
