Yes, this mistake is what did JF in.

As Artosis said before, the only reason ret found himself in that situation is because he played poorly in the first game.

gosi[terran]'s proxy defense was sick

i can see how artosis gets hyped about him. but it's a long and difficult road to make all parts of your game as good as the best parts of your game. judging from the other games in the series, gosi[terran] has some big holes to patch up.

Extractor, definitely.
Always highlights to me how crucial it is to just have that little bit over your opponent in ZvZ...
Though everything was pretty awesome. (Darn I wish the Hero hydra would've been on here haha)

there was nothing special in rets game. zvz can get that close very often.
gosi[terran]'s proxy was by far the most impressive play.

All I can say is:

I have never seen a Zerg player playing like mondi vs mech in his series vs brat_OK
Maybe brat_OK underperformed and maybe mondis strategy wouldnt have worked vs idra or fenix but in this particular game.. it was juuuust stunning

NonY's match was the first Bo5 of the TSL I couldn't down all 5 of my beers before the end.
I bet nobody else manages that for the remainder of the tournament.

I voted Ret's extractor, but now i think that Terran's defense was even more exciting. I think that JF should have taken out supply depot/s that were not defended at all.

TO [best]alive: I don't think Fenix was such an udnerdog in the match, he actually had pretty good chance as he showed. Before the match i was thinking like 40-60. Also think that Kolll is highly overrated right now. Yes he is very good and has potential, but you can't really put guy (FENIX) that is on the scene for quite a long time as an underdog against Kolll. Yes Kolll is good at copying BOs and has good control, but that is not everything you need. He still simply doesn't have enough experience.

Ret's no-hatch build was epic. GosI[Terran]'s proxy was nice...but he's got too many issues with the rest of his game

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Fenix is one of those players who could win on any given sunday. The vast majority thought Kolll would go through. Just because he didn't doesn't make him overrated. The kid made it to the round of 16 for a reason. He played bad that day; Fenix played better. In other words, we agree. It boils down to experience. Something I also said before. I will leave it at that.

That brings us to the round of 8: IdrA, Nony, JF, White-Ra, Fenix, ret, Sen and Mondi. All of these guys have proven themselves before and it should come as no surprise if any one of them moves forward.

I voted mondi, we just don't see CC that often so i guess it was worth it.
But as many people keep saying, Terran defense, was indeed pretty sick, so if we must choose the BEST move, i guess that would be it.
