TL Attack! with Mondragon is over. Click here for VODs!
Two of today's victims blogged about their experiences on TL Attack! Read them here and here.
So somehow, we managed to trick the best Zerg in the world into playing on Team Liquid Attack. In a (drunken?) moment of weakness, Mondragon claimed to be the master of BM, and now it's time to see if he can make good on his claim. Chaos Launcher If you plan on playing, ensure you have the latest version of both Chaos Launcher and the Latency Plugin. Please do me a favour and update your Chaos now rather than assuming it's up to date: Update your Chaos Launcher
Prizes
The player with the "best play" (As voted on by the commentators and Mondragon) will receive a MASTER mousepad courtesty of http://www.esportnova.com
The best play could be an interesting build or tactic, a cute move, or any number of things. Suffice it to say we'll know it when we see it, as shown by the winners of past episodes: -4 Hatch Zergling break -DWeb rush -Leaving a game -Playing a great game vs Xiaozi -Playing a great game vs Dreiven -Drawing the cookie monster with Zerglings -Playing well against Sea[Shield] -Playing well against JianFei
How To Watch
This post will be updated prior to the stream going live to include details on how to watch live in VLC or WMM. VODs and Replays will be released after the event is complete. If you are familiar with watching the TSL, watching TLA will be just as simple.
How To Play
Get on Battle.net USWest (using Chaos Launcher) and open the stream. Once we are ready for a guest, we will announce over the stream which channel we are in. That's your cue to get in the channel before it fills and convince Mondragon that you are worthy of a game with him!
Chaos Launcher
If you want to participate, you should have Chaos Launcher enabled. Install it, tick the box next to "Latency Changer" and then launch StarCraft from within Chaos Launcher.
ICC Launcher is NOT Chaos Launcher ADVLoader is NOT Chaos Launcher Ensure you have Latency Changer enabled in Chaos Launcher!
Add the announcement to the green bar above the forum with a countdown. When using Chaoslauncher make sure you use LatencyChanger 0.2 earlier versions do not work reliably with 1.15.3.

I don't mind swearing, but hearing him say "fucking" in front of every sarcastic remark is annoying... Especially when I know they'd sound better and more clever without that.
sorry about the lag in the first half guys, my computer/connection were both perfectly fine and we were looking for the source the whole time. it ended up being some faulty settings in WME that passed the test runs.

The good ambiance made it very tolerable.
And you have good obs skills.
Can't wait for the nice and peachy next time ^.^
he has lots of practice it's just too bad my game lagged T.t
Unlike previous TL attacks, the player in the spotlights personality wasn't the worst part of the show. This time around the hosts (normally not far behind) that really didn't ask any good questions or say anything interesting at all. Half what the hosts talked about was some stupid thing that wasn't even very funny that a random dude was /F Ming them. I appreciate funny things, but most of the shit they were laughing at wasn't even kinda funny. Mondragon was alright. He answered what few questions he was asked and showed some personality.
The games overall were pretty shitty. Usually the players at least have some idea of what to do, but almost every non smurf game was absolutely worthless. The protoss with a half ass zealot rush into a late fast expand with a dragoon or two comes to mind. The other games were not much better. I don't know what you can do to prevent this kind of stuff other than change the format to not have complete scrubs playing, but something has to be done.
More important than the games sucking though is what I feel is a lack of preperation by the hosts. The only interesting questions were about what he felt were his greatest accomplishments. So we found out it was WCG and a euro championship or something and his favorite experiences are the big international tournaments. Sweet. That shit is interesting. Too bad there is never any followup questions for any of this interesting shit. Maybe ask him about the people he met. Ask for a couple of stories. Anything?
I feel that the hosts need to prepare about 50 more questions they plan to ask before the show starts or have a thread that people can post questions in that is checked throughout the show. Laughing at how bad people are is great, but its only funny for a while. After two hours I would hope for some more content than what is typically delivered in a TL attack.
Even more so with the Sea TL attack episode. There should have been 200 questions ready to ask before it started. There are so many cool things that could have been asked, but Lil Susie constantly had to say "more more more" throughout the entire thing to get the hosts to even think about asking another question.

There wasn't a specific thread as there has been in the past for players like Sea and Mingu. But this place takes a team effort and if you see that after a search the forum is lacking such a thread, feel free to start one.
I agree that there were a few dead spots but i found it overall entertaining. I almost died when he did the zergling noise, rofl. So lets take this as a learning experience so we can all work together to have a gaggle of great questions for the next TL Attack.

There were some problems with lag in a few of the games. But if it was too bad they remade it, found a new player or talked smack about intrigues comp.
The lag in the games was really annoying and some parts of the games were missing. The vods were split up in 3 parts and didnt really follow eachother up. I didnt enjoy this one as much as the others...
Was nice to watch but still not the best episode imo.
Generally spoken I prefer when the priority is lean towards the guest and getting to know him than be like this or that to fit into a certain format that the people can the most identify with or find the most entertaining.
Maybe this also comes along with the fact that the community is a bit devided. There are the older ones who growth with games like Broodwar and like more to know the person and the thoughts and on the other side the younger one who stick more with this BM and funny stuff.
After watching this episode I was wondering how much it was the "real Mondragon" and how much he pleased the host and peoples liking of beeing BM/Cocky.
This is only a side note and I know the host just tries to fulfill what most people want. Like irc requests. Overall I enjoy TLA and the commentation.
