I don't think he's in a free-fall at all. He's not playing his best obviously, but there's no reason to think he couldn't throw that behind him and raise his game again. I mean his championships were built on "What the... how did he just pull that off?" moments. I suspect he'll be back in form sooner and/or stronger than most people think.
Really looking forward to this. Gauntlet of liquibets, and I probably won't get half of them right. Oh well, the games will be awesome. XD
I dunno, no one seems to ever come back to their PEAK level once they start to come down a little. Some players plateau slightly below, like Nal_ra did for a while, while only Nada has really comeback to play at his prime level again (and not for that long at that).

If I had to pick someone likely to buck the trend, it'd be Bisu. He's always shown a little inconsistency in proleague, and then he'd go win the MSL. I think he still has all the pieces of the puzzle in him, he just needs to put them together again.
Or maybe I'm just being delusional and he's going to turn into July. ;.;

All Star Tournament + English commentator + 1'000.000 Investment = EPIC

Sadly, Group B is a bit spoiled by maps. Nada had a terrible draw, with Katrina vs Much and Blue Storm vs Jaedong. Adding to this he is facing Boxer on a map where Boxer is 2-0 in tvt, not really significant, but still.
Jaedong and Much would have been favourites anyways, and ever more so now. Maybe Nada will both have to beat the emperor and rely on him to win a match to make this a true group of death.
If they both go through I will smile for a week

Honestly, I think Bisu is still just as good a player as he's always been, and I'm not even a Bisu fan. His recent losses were all due to one thing: prepared builds. Bisu keeps on losing to timing attacks and rushes, because he keeps going FE. If Bisu can fix his opening by mixing it up a little I think he has as good a chance as anyone. He's way to young to be off his prime already.

Awesome post!!
Although i disagree with incontrol, I still believe bisu is still big

Awesome stuff!
One suggestion: The game times are at 9 GMT, so for us lazy Americans, might be helpful to post the time translations so we can tune in, without having to google a GMT converter.

This is probably is stupid questions for most of you, but where can I find all the technical details about how to follow the event live with comments or later with the sound?

There are new vods including an intro to the league with predictions posted on the gom website.

Oh yeah, this is what diggity talked about in his vods!
Thanks Plexa!

From an english speaking perspective, I think that this tournament is going to be one of the greatest ever =P WCG is always super fun, but only having 3 quality koreans is pretty boring.. This tournament is going to be so awesome +_+ I am not sure but I think that GOMTV might have gotten some servers in USA to help broadcast this tournament to the non korean scene.. or at least their vods are being stored there. <3 Gom

Exactly, as good as he is he's become really predictable. Even the best players need a variety of openings just so their opponents can't go into games tailoring their game to a T.
