Anyway, Sortof and Vortix are overrated =)
Neither are overrated at all, if anything people actually still haven't truly realised how good SortOf actually is... Just look, even Nerchio is worried about SortOf

Go Stephano! Napoleon Zerg ! :D

Rooting for T-Zain (of course) and DeMuslim, but after that I'll be happy if Stephano, Mana, Nerchio, Naama, Socke, Ret, Krass, BabyKnight or Jrecco do well I'll be happy too ^_^. This was a lovely power rank, Porcelina getting up there in the world, hopefully you don't forget about us lowly LR folk

Nice ranking, I would only exchange Socke and Hasu. Even though Socke won the WCS Germany, Hasu placed 2nd in the eps, won the berlin open, placed 3rd on campus party eu and defeated Thorzain in TSL 4. Socke and Hasu always fight for the title as the best german, but since Hasu's achievements are a lot more recent, he is ahead right now imo.

nice writeup! But I guess our european Zerg talent gets a little overhyped if we call the very best zergs of the planet. Both, Nerchio and Stephano, definately are top10 zergs, but if you want to see the top5 of zerg right now, look at the GSL Code S Ro16 rooster, they are all there! It will be a nice tournament. We have a good lineup of players I mostly agree with the top10. I expect the winner to be out of the top3 of the ranking too.

This is going to be such a great competition. I just hope that I don't miss awesome games due to them happening simultaneously. Such a problem to have to suffer!

It's hard to predict, because there is a lot of money and prestige on the line, and I think some players are training very hard, kinda "hiding" this training.
And who took avantage of it in the past tournaments ?
Lucifron ! He is hungry... and believe me he is far beyond the grubby line. To begin with i'll place him before his brother. Concerning Ret, his ranking is fair I guess but dued to his pride reaction on this post I guess he is on a greater shape he made us believe on the small tournaments so yeah, Ret has hunger too. That's why i'll place him higher, only dued to the fact that he has more experience and seems to have motivation (i saw him on interviews he seemed focus on wcs EU).
Thorzain will have clearly the audience on his side so i'd rank him better than SortOf and Vortix. I hope he didn't play too much HotS though. JohnyRecco is a potential winner so putting him #15 seems not fair to me.
And personal opinion : Mana is overrated.

Rooting for the EG guys + grubby/mana

Solid writeup. Ofcourse its Europe and anything can happen.
Expect the terrans to go out very early and the later rounds be a PvZ and ZvZ fest as the last half year of cups/dailys was in Europe.
It is unfortunate to have the could-be finals Nerchio vs Sortof in first round, but one of them will come back through loser bracket again.

I think the grubby line should have been atleast in th top 6. Awesome nontheless

Nahh Stephano is a top 3 zerg. Just look at the last 5months no one even come close to Stephano win ratio or achievements. Stephano might be the best zerg in the world if not for his weakness in ZvZ. When Stephano was in the TSL house even Symbol sayd Stephano top 3 zerg in the world.
I know its hard for some TL members to realise this about a none korean player but look at his stats the last 5 months and you can see he is simply an animal of superiority. We talking about 72% win ratio in ZvP and ZvT the last 5 months and its pretty much only been against the best Korea got to offer. Stephano hardly play against other foreigners in off-line tournaments anymore. These stats are just incredible. So WCS European championship is actually a very rare occasion these days to see Stephano up against none Koreans in off-line tournaments
Btw solid write-up

Damn you Stephano! Still im proud of me boys :D

What?! Why would a player leave such a renowned and prestigious team as Eclypsia! I am shocked, SHOCKED I say!

Rooting for (in order of preference) White-Ra, Thorzain, Grubby, Nercio, and some terrans, WCS Global Championships will be woefully underpopulated by Terrans I fear. I think 3 have qualified so far, and it's unlikely that any will qualify from Asia as no korean terrans made it (damnit polt!)
Rooting for Stephano too of course but he's already qualified for WCS China

That helium drakula joke was really fitting^^

There were a few too many mistakes in this one, though a good read nonetheless. Maybe assign someone to proof reading duty.

Nerchio: "I'm way too high in this rank".
Stephano: "I'm way too low in this rank".
:p

Just goes to show you just how good he really is.

Stephano is better than most of the zergs in ro16...
MC, Symbol and few others(that i don't remember) said multiple times that Stephano was top 3 zerg in the world, hell he's even a contender for the best since DRG and Symbol are slumping.

Well it is a good point. And Stephano did beat Nerchio at the last Dreamhack. However Nerchio should on paper have beaten him. I still don't understand how Stephano won in such a superior fashion. As a Stephano fan ill always be worried about his ZvZ and if he can avoid Nerchio and Slivko I'm sure he will win this EU championship. But yea overall his ZvZ is defiantly underestimated maybe its just because he isn't as dominating in ZvZ as he is in his other match ups that we get a wrong picture
One thing for sure this event is going to be amazing
