A very well-written article and a great tribute to Violet. I wish I had seen more of his games live before he got his diagnosis than I did. I don't have much to say other than life isn't fair and he passed away too young. I really thought he was going to recover. Rest in peace, Violet.

I never watched BW or knew who Violet was, but I do know that I am deeply saddened by all of this and I think it's so awesome how this TL community comes together, RIP Violet <3 RIP man.

God, I have been thinking about this for the past day and it's still painful. Especially since he started to rise when I first started to watch BW, and since I was a huge Flash fan naturally I gravitated towards KT and especially towards Violet as he was like the 2nd best player on the team, and he was so reliable. Damn.

Sorry to see him go. Being 30, and a BW fan, he will be missed. But I know his life was far more than BW and I'm sure his family saw him as more than a player of video games...much more. I'm glad the community can come together and see him as a person, more than a player.
