Meanwhile, I was staying up at 4 am to watch GSL, fucking up the rest of my day and destroying my general sleep schedule to watch my favorite players play. Especially Jinro. And when Jinro kept making deep runs into GSL, I was ecstatic. These were some of the most exciting, historic games that I have ever watched. And the strangest thing happened. My roommate, despite knowing almost nothing about Starcraft, started asking how Jinro was performing. I was excited about Jinro. Reddit was excited about Jinro. Even Notch and Mojang were excited about Jinro. And now my roommate was excited about Jinro. He was the man that the rest of us non-Koreans could connect to. That man who could walk among the Korean gods and make history with his exceptional and consistent performance. Jinro is a legend and hero, and I am glad to have witnessed this legend form live on the GSL streams in the most inconvenient hours of the morning.

My favourite game of Starcraft 2 remains Jinro vs. MC on Scrap Station, where Jinro went mech and won after MC made carriers and phoenix. It was a silly game; by rights, MC should have won, but I'll never forget that feeling when I stifled my cheers so I didn't wake anyone up but inside I was fucking jumping up and down. I'm sad to see Jinro go, of course but I can only wish him utmost happiness in whatever he does for the rest of his life, and hopefully he'll Jinroll people in poker too gg Jinro, wp.

I was so sad when you didn't make the CodeA qualifier in such a close game (partially selfish -- I couldn't watch anymore!). Good luck in the future!
