I'm really surprised about HerO, that he smokes, thinks he was maybe brought in to replace Huk, is so very humble etc. Nony having depression, reason for TLO's beard, the feelings about Huk etc. The Taeja and Zenio parts were a bit short understandably, because the were recruited late compared to everyone else. I used to dislike Zenio for that stupid slap ceremony against Idra, but I guess he's a really nice guy IRL. GJ TL & Director ;p

tl;dr => fluffy content and lack of actual content about STARCRAFT, which TeamLiquid mostly is all about..... hearing lifestories is fun and all... but when I watch a DOCUMENTARY, I want FACTS and not life stories...... this documentary had NOTHING about starcraft as a whole, and when starcraft was mentioned, it was briefly and extremely scarce in the sense that we hear about Hero's championship run in DH Winter2011, and Haypro's run in MLG.... none of the pros talk about past accomplishments and methods of training and tournament experiences pre, during and past joining TL

Use Liquipedia. Too many interviews and life stories? Don't watch the DOCUMENTARY. This video was obviously made to show the fundamentals and bonds of the team and the life of a progamer (from a different sense). I feel like I learned a lot about the players from this film. For everyone complaining that there wasn't enough SC2 content, and too many interviews, you should probably use YouTube to watch their games. I can understand the director wanted to focus on the behind scenes, since most TL users already pay attention to tournaments and results.

Most people wished to just see something of how you called it "behind the scenes" stuff actually happening instead of just seeing players talking about it.

The guy with the handycam at WCG USA 200X who filmed Artosis, Tasteless, Day9, Frozz etc did a documentary that accurately portrayed and captured the emotions of competing in a western eSports event. OMG yes! This 15 min doc was awesome and is closer to what I was expecting. That 15 min was way more interesting and exciting than 90 mins of sit down interviews.

I get that, but I think it's extremely naive of people to expect so much of that "behind the scenes". I mean, all the traveling that these players do, some of them are not even at the same events together. A camera can't always be there every time something happens either. It may not be perfect, but I do wish people could just enjoy these Team Liquid players recounting their own stories. Instead of condemning a film that they don't HAVE to pay for. You know what I mean? I'm just baffled by some of the reactions to this documentary which was made for the community, out of initiative.

The point of making a documentary was to get a good look at what the lives of the Liquid players are like and find out more about them through filming that SHOWS us. Instead it was a compilation of interviews that TELLS us some stuff, most of which, we already knew. It's not bad content. I found myself entertained enough. But to put this type of content through production and create a documentary about it is a wasted opportunity to make something truly special.

I never expected more, or less, then to get know the faces behind the keyboards. Sure, it could have done that much better but it's still really good. The people who complan about the lack of SC2, I was really surprised by that. I already watch Liquid play, I know that part. In short, it was what I expected, gave some nice insight (Hero smokes!) and was fun to watch.

Knowing stuff is one thing but hearing the stories behind it is a joy. I always pause when I'm watching something to F5 TL or listen to some music, or think about what I was seeing but I didn't pause for 1 hour and a half, fuck I love TL.

Using mainly footage to tell a story. I feel like the Liquid Rising video could have just been pure audio as it was practically just interviews. It wasn`t bad or anything but definitely not what I was expecting.

And if you don't know much about teamliquid then it must be really interesting. This super cool trailer video, the fact that they filmed for 8 months and the high aspiration that TL stands for just gave me extremely high expectations ...
