Great writeup, it truly was an amazing tournament. I don't agree with everything in the Winner's section - Bling is missing, Cloud definitely is too high up, and others aren't mentioned enough - but then again it's only opinions. Excited for HSC5.

I think you're confusing the TL pro team staff for the team liquid article writers, or even the TLpro writers, which are not the same people.

maybe Waxangel only stated Hero clearly as 'loser' just because he is on TL. Don't give it too much thought.

btw: still have to catch up with the videos, but grubby is just outstanding.

In all seriousness, I think it is a reaction by the writers after the community outcry after the Blizzard Cup preview. In the preview, TL was hyping Hero big-time, but given his great performances at Dreamhack and NASL, I guess many people, TL included, just got carried away by the hype. Anyway, TL predicted that Hero would take 1st in a group of MVP, DRG, MC, and Stephano. Not surprisingly, people started to call bias on TL, especially after Hero's 0-4 performance in that group.

While Hero did get outclassed, he got outclassed by the world's absolute best players, and there is no shame in that. I think now the writers might be a bit gun-shy about over-hyping Hero after that Blizzcup misprediction. But I also do not think they should be calling him a loser in this tournament either.

Don't get me wrong, though. I still think that this was a great review article, and I just find issue with one small segment. I do agree that Blizzard's lack of LAN was a loser in this tournament though...

Good write up. I personally didn't get the same feeling of suspense or excitement from HSC that I do from Dreamhack or MLG...etc. But I did enjoy it for the insight and change of pace.

Really enjoyed the Destiny, Incontrol and TooGood casting but I hope they don't try something like that at MLG.

I had so much fun watching HSC, especially whenever Grubby, Incontrol, MC or MKP were casting. I think Incontrol gets too little credit, having him there doing his thing made it feel like home because I'm so used to seeing him on SOTG and in almost every tournament. I really hope he attends the next one as well.

Great tournament, great write-up, but I wouldn't say smaller is better. Dreamhack Winter 2011 still is the coolest thing I've ever seen in e-sports.
