a lot of people here ignore the fact, that a deal like this is a huge step for esports in general. put the hate aside and you'll realize that esports will benefit from this in the long run. other teams will step up too and all those pieces lead to more professionality.

i'm not judging here. i'd love to see HuK playing under the horsebanner but as i said: you have to see the positive aspects too.

If Sheth and HerO hadn't just joined this would be unbearably bad news. As it is, it's still really sad news.

The next piece of news im looking forward to is which korean team EG is planning on forming an alliance with. Dunno how easy that is gonna be considering all the PuMa drama and the negative light shone on EG.

IMIdra? Mr.Chae the accidental prophet?

If by alliance you mean practice partners..
IM would school EG effortlessly.

If it's IM, I bet EG offered a fortune in fees and offered to take their whole team to international tournaments/free cash giveaways.

Similar to a funeral, and a death defining a life, HuK joining EG is a time for me to look backwards upon what has been, and forward to how fucking menacing he's going to be on EG.

I mean, hell, he's sharp as a blade as is, then he's going to be living the G life in the EG house with the EG 8 hours a day? I expect great play in the near future.

After all, it's a game. Play is what we came for.

Why would he play better with EG outside the oGs-TL house, which arguably has the best training environment out of all SC2 teams in the world?

I suppose a guaranteed 6 digit salary is monetarily better than a risky 6 digit earnings. Too bad, he had to betray his team and friends to do it and probably come out a lesser player too.

Don't worry. He can train with axslav and everyone else that isn't idra and puma.

Same skill level as ogs I swear..

Don't forget LzGamer, StrifeCo and Machine!! They will take games off MC anyday.

I don't even know if I spelt their names right.

oo good point.

They would easily make code S just like zenio.

Nooooooooooooo
I'll still be rooting for him, even though it would be bad for the game if a bunch of greedy managers could just buy success when they realize their players suck.

I can't say I like the move, but I don't blame Huk for it. I guess the E in EG has really started to play up in their latest team additions. Still, if they can entice Huk away from a team he seemed really happy with, good for them.

What? EG offered Huk a hell a lot of money than Liquid. Huk even said he wouldn't go to another team even if they payed more than Liquid. Shows you how much money it is.

Huh, this is pretty disappointing to me. It seems like for people who play the game for itself, and for becoming the best, being a member of TL would be the pinnacle of ESPORTS achievement. Liquid has the best practice partners in oGs, its players have the most achievements of any foreigner team, and it has by far the best and most passionate fans.

I guess I never really saw Huk as a pinnacle of the community like jinro and Tyler have been, and like Sheth will hopefully be as a liquid player, but he was still one of our guys and it's disappointing to see him go.

This feels just like if a player left my baseball team. I won't be following Huk to EG; not because I've come to hate him, just because I won't be motivated to care much anymore. And whenever Huk is playing a liquid player or a complexity player, I'll be rooting against him from now on. If he's playing a korean in GSL, I'll be cheering him all the way, but it won't be the same.

It's EG. It's more about the fame, popularity and hype than the level of play. Just look at Incontrol and how they acommodated him with the Lo3 with sponsorship money even though he hasn't won or placed well in anything meaningful since release.

Indeed, the EG SC2 devision is about sponsorships and being 'an interesting personality', no matter the quality of play. They'll make cool youtube video series about Idra and Huk in Korea using KingstonTM and RazerTM gear.

Title suggestion: 'Just the two of us: A tale of mediocre starcraft'.

Huk is still the best hope we have of foreigner succes in the GSL tho, so let's all keep on cheering for him. We need foreigner succes stories in the GSL, if only to make more people come over and actually close the skillgap.

EG is going to have to step it's game up TBH. I mean, TL's relationship with OGS gave Huk some really invaluable experience w/ the elite of the elite. EG just doesn't bring that level to the practice table. I mean Huk/Idra/Puma could practice vs each other all day I guess, but outside of that there's a pretty serious decline compared to OGS practice.

Ah well, sometimes the business trumps the personal. I hope it works out for all parties involved.

He is staying in Korea so he won't be training with EG members in NA there is little point to trainging with NA-Kor lag. He will train with Puma and IdrA. He is probably still on decent terms with most people at oGs-TL as well if he needs help.

I doubt if he messaged Jinro for some practice games Jinro would say no
