I am just speaking off my mind here.

The only reason I can think of the departure is down to a single word "Money".

If you can leave training partners like MC, Nada, Zenio, SuperNova, Top, etc for players like Idra, Puma, that says it all I guess?

Sad to see him leaving though.

money makes everything okay.

EG = SC2's T1
I have a dream, that some day I wouldn't see any imba comments in GSL threads.

I feel for the TL team. I'm sure they're taking it all pretty hard despite knowing for a while that this was inevitable. Even watching TLO's stream, I can tell that it's effecting him strongly. While I think it's great that HUK has made what he thinks is the right decision and life moves on, it will be a hard thing to get over for the time being. My heart goes out to the TL team.

3 players on EG are Code A or higher quality. They're a powerhouse foreign team, in Korea they're small fry.

I think people need to understand that this is a PERSONAL decision for HuK. As stated in the OP, this was a potentially life changing decision for HuK, and as a gamer you have to look out for your well being and what you can do to further your career. I'm loving the lack of drama in this situation, much love for both TL, EG and HuK!
Terran is OP deal with it!

EGHuk = ruining Esports, can't EG groom a new great player rather than just aggressively throwing money at a popular player until they join up? they need to get pick up a skilled coach and invest time in the players they've already signed.

Such great news for HuK, even though he will miss TL, his life will be changed forever. He must have got a substantial wage in order to switch teams, not only he will benefit but his family some day. For the fans who love HuK should keep supporting him, even if he has joined EG. We will miss the rivalry IdrA and HuK have developed over the last year and now we are going to see them team up and training together is REALLY exciting.

I was tearing up reading the messages he was giving to everybody. ;;

If you guys are really fans of Huk, you'll respect his decision like the TL staff. As long as he strides to get better in Korea, I know I'll still root for him.

I will always root for him and I can respect his decision. what I can't Respect is EG, just throwing money around trying to buy a team... fucking pathetic, maybe instead of tossing money around they should drop some of the dead weight players and do some damn scouting and pick up some original talent.

Well the thing is that there there will always be feeder/scout teams and big boys looking to relieve these teams of their stars. EG, as the tragic hero, believes itself to be a big player in the SC2 scene and intends to purchase the best talent available. Unfortunately, as the story unfolds, we will see that they neglected to get coaching staff or any sense of financial sustainability, and that in fact, all of its players have no loyalty. EG eventually succumbs, allowing another team to rise as the hero and learn from EG's foolish mistakes.

Or so I hope.

EG recruited someone capable of winning something?? I say recruited, but bought is a much more accurate word. A Puma/Idra/Huk +1 team house will be awesome though. It also really begs the question, why have a team house in AZ?

Anyway, this is the kind of thing you ask for when you say you want ESPORTS to get BIG. Money gets involved, this isn't just people playing because they enjoy it.

It must have broke Huk's heart to leave. I know he does a lot to please his fans.

Did you know that partners like MC, Nada and SuperNova will still talk to HuK? It's not like he's going to suddenly not talk to any of the friends/players he's met at oGs. Cross-team practice is not uncommon. In fact, if you go through GSL interviews, it's pretty common for players to thank another player on another team for being their practice partners.
