Today it is a sad day. It IS NOT sad because HuK left my favorite team. It IS NOT sad because he joined a team I do not like. It IS sad because it is the day I realize that SC2 is not just about a group of friends that meet to have fun, share experiences and grow together. It IS sad because it is the day I realize this just any other sport, where money is power.

How come EG has more moneh then liquid. TL has way bigger website. Make a better use of it so you can be at least n EG lvl.

Go to EG's website and look at their sponsors. They have Intel, Steelseries, Monster energy, Kingston and a bunch of other stuff. Way more than Teamliquid's TLAF.

I`m sure the amount of money HuK was promised in EGs offer couldn`t be ignored and I probably would have done the same in the given situation. Still, I am sad about the change and EG.HuK doesn`t feel like Liquid.HuK. Anyways, Best of Luck to you Chris!

Yea HuK! with EG's financial support, you can actually stay in korea with better facilities I hope.
This is really good news for you and whoever is going to join the EG. I think this is the move that foreigners will need to bring us to the korean level :D

I wish more foreign teams would try to build players from the ground up like they do in Korea to help grow eSports.

How much money do you think you get from web advertisement vs a sponsor as intel and monster?

they need to get sponsors then .. theres nothing EG has that TL doesnt.

money makes everything okay.

EG = SC2's T1

Yah, but T1 continues to improve their players and offers them fantastic coaching and practise environment. EG not so much.

Yeah plus T1 actually does that thing... winning.

No EG at Blizzcon hahahaha,

I'm gonna laugh so hard if Huk gets to the GSL finals and therefore is in fact at Blizzcon.
Probably not going to happen though. Still, Idra should profit a lot from going back to Korea. What would TL do in case of an EG code S finals? Though that's like a 1/1000 chance.

I am just speaking off my mind here.

The only reason I can think of the departure is down to a single word "Money".

If you can leave training partners like MC, Nada, Zenio, SuperNova, Top, etc for players like Idra, Puma, that says it all I guess?

Sad to see him leaving though.

Did you know that partners like MC, Nada and SuperNova will still talk to HuK? It's not like he's going to suddenly not talk to any of the friends/players he's met at oGs. Cross-team practice is not uncommon. In fact, if you go through GSL interviews, it's pretty common for players to thank another player on another team for being their practice partners.

When did I ever say they will not talk or train with him? Cross team will never beat inhouse training, he has the world best players to train with, I bet much of his recent success boils down to MC and his training partners and also his endless practising.

I'd put EG on equal footing with FXO in terms of giving its players a good practice house. It's far better than most other foreign teams, including TL outside of Korea.

i think this just proves that if you want to win you have to go/stay in Korea, Idra going back should get his mind back on winning again.

I love all the hipsters saying We hate EG they are just throwin money at the players! If you were the manager of a team wouldn't you do what was necessary to recruit the best talent for your team?

And that's exactly what teams should be doing; indeed, that's the silver lining no matter what you think about EG. Of course, having a player you like leave a team you like is sad, but putting that aside this is positive news.

Not surprising that Huk would go after the money. And now EG has a good protoss player as well with results.

TL has TLAF.
EG has Intel, Steelseries and Kingston.

I don't think EG will only have those 3 players in their korean house, if anything this just means a whole new set of opportunities for foreigners to shine.

GL Huk, I'll be rooting for you
