If you guys are really fans of Huk, you'll respect his decision like the TL staff. As long as he strides to get better in Korea, I know I'll still root for him.

I will always root for him and I can respect his decision. what I can't Respect is EG, just throwing money around trying to buy a team... fucking pathetic, maybe instead of tossing money around they should drop some of the dead weight players and do some damn scouting and pick up some original talent.

Well the thing is that there there will always be feeder/scout teams and big boys looking to relieve these teams of their stars. EG, as the tragic hero, believes itself to be a big player in the SC2 scene and intends to purchase the best talent available. Unfortunately, as the story unfolds, we will see that they neglected to get coaching staff or any sense of financial sustainability, and that in fact, all of its players have no loyalty. EG eventually succumbs, allowing another team to rise as the hero and learn from EG's foolish mistakes.

Or so I hope.

Just pointing the fact that EG still has StrifeCro, LZGamer and Axslav under contract (and it's been a long time) when these 3 players have shown no results at all so far.

People just assume that EG is just about money ...

Money =/= smart use of money...............

Today it is a sad day. It IS NOT sad because HuK left my favorite team. It IS NOT sad because he joined a team I do not like. It IS sad because it is the day I realize this just any other sport, where money is power.

I agree.

But the problem is not with the players or the teams. The problem is the state of E-sports. If there was more funding around we wouldn't have these huge swaps like with puma and huk.

I think It's a good move for esports and for himself personally, having to train in a house with a lot of people who don't speak english well must be pretty difficult and money is very important when your training as hard as he does for tournaments. Good luck in the future HuK

I am just speaking off my mind here.

The only reason I can think of the departure is down to a single word "Money".

If you can leave training partners like MC, Nada, Zenio, SuperNova, Top, etc for players like Idra, Puma, that says it all I guess?

Sad to see him leaving though.

Did you know that partners like MC, Nada and SuperNova will still talk to HuK? It's not like he's going to suddenly not talk to any of the friends/players he's met at oGs. Cross-team practice is not uncommon. In fact, if you go through GSL interviews, it's pretty common for players to thank another player on another team for being their practice partners.

When did I ever say they will not talk or train with him? Cross team will never beat inhouse training, he has the world best players to train with, I bet much of his recent success boils down to MC and his training partners and also his endless practising.

"If you can leave training partners like MC, Nada, Zenio, SuperNova, Top, etc".

Kthx.

How come EG has more moneh then liquid. TL has way bigger website. Make a better use of it so you can be at least n EG lvl.

How much money do you think you get from web advertisement vs a sponsor as intel and monster?

they need to get sponsors then .. theres nothing EG has that TL doesnt.

Except teams in pretty much every other e-sport and a proven brand.

wait what, from what i read, the money was a HUGE part of it. Liquid wanted to keep him, but what EG offered was to quote "life changing". So quite sure its about the money. (not saying its a bad thing, id do the same, just no reason to not accept it)

Yep, it seems whoever they pick up is going to slump : Demuslim, Idra. Now it is time for Puma and HuK.

Go to EG's website and look at their sponsors. They have Intel, Steelseries, Monster energy, Kingston and a bunch of other stuff. Way more than Teamliquid's TLAF.

cuz they are a business while TL is first a team you little noob :|

Uh, wait, what? More funding means more teams are able to buy out other players' contracts, meaning that shifts could occur more frequents, a la real sports.

Even with more funding, not all teams will be funded equally, and you'll still have situations like this where a better funded team offers a player of a lesser funded team an offer the player cna't refuse.

No longer being part of the oGs house may have a significant impact on Huk's growth.
Before his departure at least Huk helped oGs win a precious GSTL victory.
