Was this EG's masterplan? Or just usual EG overhyping? I don't think EG has a masterplan. They just have more money than Liquid and TSL.

Foreign players are so spoiled. cause he has the biggest fan base. in sc2 its how many fans you got not really skill level that sets how much money you make.

I mean, from what I gather liquid has 10x as many fans and the liquid brand (this site) is constantly relevant to anyone who plays or watches Starcraft. Shouldn't this translate into sponsorship money? And if EG is getting money from some mysterious benefactors, well wouldn't TL be a more attractive target since it's current great reputation makes it more likely to give returns on your investment?

I find myself more and more rooting for a team now then for individual players. Both Slayers and Liquid are the teams i cheer for all the time, i could never see myself cheering for an EG player (nothing against them). I just compare it to most other sports, some people cheer for Barcelona or Real Madrid or Manchester United. I don't really get this as SC2 is an individual sport (apart from the team leagues although this is still 1vs1). A player isn't suddenly going to show less entertaining games than before because he has a few different letters before his name. I'm also a fan of pretty much all of the Liquid players but that is more because of the players themselves. I liked Sheth before he joined Liquid and I like him still. I love seeing Bomber and July play but I don't suddenly like FD and Tester now that they joined Startale. Anyways HuK hwaiting! And it will be fun to see IdrA back in Korea, it should help him get back to his old level.
