i really hope this article is completely wrong about flash's wrist condition and that it's totally not going to be a problem in the future

Great article for what should be a significant match for both players. Flash with a shot at the biggest record of all and knowing time is against him, damn. Could not set a better scene.

As far as Flash being near the end of his career: I think everyone has been reading into that last interview of his too much, the one where he mentioned his wrist problems. The reason I am mentioning this is that I have just read the latest interview with Flash on Fomos.kr. Its the pre-finals interview and this is what Flash clearly states:

"Even if I don’t attain the title this time, I still have many years left in me as a progamer so I will approach the games with a peaceful mind. I will relish the moment. "

I'm not convinced this is the last of the Starleagues Flash will rise in. I'm sure we will see him for a good few years, maybe not as as dominant as before, but he will still be there...

I know he has wrist problems, but I don't think its as close to ending his career as everyone makes it out to be....

Please, if anyone knows anything more, let us know. I just thought I would share this after I read it on Fomos.kr.

Despite the great effort by the msl writers, this feels like the most underhyped MSL finals in the history of BW besides Avalon and pdpop. The main fault of this is because there is no osl finals coming up. With the osl, this would be another dual finals opportunity for flash, but without it, he can't "beat" nada, and of course, zero would just be starting his medal cabinet if he won. I feel sorry for flash if he doesn't manage to make it into another dual finals, but I also feel robbed of the golden badge finals.

Every time I read one of these Brood War articles I help but notice how well written they are, props to you for that. It's odd how excited I get just reading this even though I can't say I truly follow Brood Wars. It only amazes me at what people can do, and I hope I can look forward to this level of quality of play in SC2.

Great writeup. I remember watching Flash vs Effort last year and thinking, "what a great sport. This should be more popular." But yeah, really excited.
