There will be 6 Terran, 8 Zerg, and 10 Protoss in the next Challenge League. The Protoss region is now trying to take back the BW scene after only having one player from them in the Starleague.

POS and KOR sadly didn't have any players advance, and teams like Plus and Samsung did relatively very well. KTF only had one player advance.
This Challenge League prelims. was highlighted by a whole group of new comers and the fall of the favorites. If you take a look at the names of the Challenge leaguers that weren't seeded, you will find out that you won't recognize a lot of them. Related personnel are saying that this kind of "newcomer trend" happened because the former favorites were busy practicing with other maps/league whereas these newcomers had nothing else to do but practice for today's prelims.
Many of the players with bigger names didn't make it into the new challenge league. These players include Cloud, Junwi, Peter, Mingu, Silent_Control, Sunny, Zeus, ArtofTerran, Rainbow, [Oops]Lee, Kos, ArtofHan, Niza, Zergman, Canata, ggon, Rage, and many more.
The upcoming Challenge league will be of great entertainment. You can find newcomers proving who they are, and also old school gamers trying to make a comeback to OGN.
