I personal think it would have been alot more fair if the EU/US players in korea had to play the qualifers even thought they can have a bit lag. Also if TL realy cant run a korean qualifer, you could just use the ladder system since im sure top korean players would ladder alot more if that was a way to qualify and they had 2-3 month to get to the top. However its your tournament and you can do what you want and I will for sure be watching. For the Koreans... it's an invite. They're not going to invite some random people, but good people. Plus, what makes the EU/US players in Korea different from actual Koreans? And finally, Nony and Sen are already accomplished sc2 players, and they probably would make in anyway, I don't know about Mondragon, but seeding past winners of the same tournament is definitely justified

if they were able to play in the TL opens u know what? it'd be a hell of a lot more than 13 players from korea. there would be almost none of ur favorite europeans/north americans. so actually THINK about the merits of this format. and then there are people on the opposite spectrum that seem to think there should be some sort of anti-korea bias. this is supposed to be a global tournament, why would it have some ridiculous anti-korean bias. this is supposed to be a tournament for the best sc2 players.

No, travis. There is a misunderstanding. We're talking about Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean players here. Not the pro's of other nationalities living in Korea. It's a thin line. I hope you realize how ridiculous this statement is. We know there aren't qualifiers for the Chinese and Koreans. That doesn't include players of other nationalities like I said before. HuK is still a Canadian citizen the same way IdrA is an American citizen. They have competed many times in many other foreign tournaments with minor problems. You can call it reverse racism all you want, but we're talking about equal opportunity here (no pun intended). The lat going from Europe to the Asia server really isn't that bad and I would still expect players like IdrA and ret to compete. These guys should have no problems qualifying for the tournament. Yet, they are receiving the same treatment as players who earned their spots like Tyler and Mondi. Of the players I just mentioned only one of them qualified for the next GSL. I have no problem with inviting players from the Asia as long as they: - citizens of their given country in the Asian continent (not just residing there) - don't speak English - don't have access to the Europe Server(lat is ok)/ NA (lat is dreadful) - other network problems not allowing them to compete I'm just playing devil's advocate here. It's TL's tournament after all. I'm really interested to see how you guys go about selecting the actual Koreans/Chinese/Taiwanese/etc. players.
