Yes, it is possible that we might accidentally kill a blue role, but we might get a maffie as well. Anyway, there isn't much difference a blue role who doesn't do anything and dead blue role.
If someone is acting suspicious, I'm all for it - but I doubt that will happen on the first day.
I think this is a bad idea. Yes we may hit a mafioso, but last game I played we voted for lynching an inactive we hit blue. A mad-hatter at that. I'm sure there will be some sort of inactivity from some of the players, but immediately going for them after not posting for one day is not the way to go.
I say we watch for anything weird during the elections.

Well, even if inactives might or might not be the first choice, if we don't ever hit the inactives the Mafia can easily just hide amongst them and have us running around after each other like headless chickens. "We might hit a blue" isn't really a good argument, there's always the chance.
I just don't want them to be the first choice. I didn't say we never hit the inactives. At this point there will be some level of inactivity at the start and most of the players are first timers, I don't expect them to post immediately after a day post. Just because them being inactive isn't a reason to lynch them outright. Like I said, the best way to weed out the suspicious ones right now is how everybody acts during the elections.

I cast my vote for Jimtudor. He seems to be overlooked in this campaign thing and he is a vet from previous Mafia games. He is also a very good player and makes sound decisions.
|
Wow, tied voting. Thought we'd have a mayor and sheriff by now.
I'm liking the idea of the medic list. I love the idea of keeping the medics in the background, keeping players safe, while their identity is unknown to the rest. It will be all the more harder for the mafia to target them. We just don't want too many people on the list obviously. That extra protection of just being on the list is enough of a deterrent.
|
oh man, they got jimtudor. He was blue too. T_T
Anyways, I've noticed that one of them has a sneaking/silent motif. I think this could be a double meaning. Either its related to a player's profile, or how he acts during the game. Given that we are still getting a fair amount of posts, there are still many keeping silent.

Sorry guys, just woke up. Currently reading through the topic. Will post my thoughts after a read. Btw, are we all voting for Jayme? I've been on yesterday and people have been calling him out to defend himself. Any luck?
|
Alrighty, read the last three pages. So I will be voting for Jayme as there are no other solid suspects and he has not come out to defend himself. I don't believe time would be an issue here, since it was yesterday that people were calling him out and yet, no sign of him. I also think it would be a good idea for a double lynch, but only if we have a good, solid #2 suspect. So far, most of the suspicions on other people looks pretty weak, but some others look like they're on to something. We have to find more on the people we currently suspect to be red.

Uhh.. yeah, right. Why am I on this list? Sorry, i've been pretty busy and i'm pretty sure i PM'd teks my role yesterday. So yeah, I'm a townie, not a helpful one, I know, but once I finish my paper I'll be sure to keep up to date with the town happenings.
Let me just catch up a bit and i'll post my thoughts again after a read.

Whew, that was a lot of reading. Thoughts so far:
I admit, I do find Shikyo's behavior very strange. Especially during Day 2 voting. He is one of our 2 elected officials and he has a lot of sway, he could've swayed the vote away from Jayme, if he wanted to. His accusation list is also concerning. 2 out of 8 people he has accused has flipped green.
On to the voting thread, I found it strange that omG.[RaYnE] was the first to vote, on iLoveKTF. No explanation, not even a post here to explain why he picked iLoveKTF for the lynch.
I want to help by going on clue and behavior analysis, but a lot of you guys are especially good at it and what i want to say has already been said. So yeah.

wurm had roleclaimed to me. Correct list:

Yeah, I could've, but I wanted it made clear that I roleclaimed and should not be on the suspicious list.

I figured i'd be helpful and create profiles from the Day clues:
Day 1: Sneaky Mafia #1 + Show Spoiler +Behind Pyrrhuloxia, a figure crept closer. When Pyrrhuloxia lifted his hands from the railing to stir his decaffeinated coffee with a drumstick, the figure pushed him from behind. Pyrry flew over the sixth floor ledge to his death.
-Used a push to kill -Silent/sneaking
Sneaky Mafia #2 + Show Spoiler +Meanwhile, downstairs, Qatol was using the Triumvirate Building's spacious archery range for target practice. As he looked down to reload, another figure crossed the room from the other side. The mafioso crept behind Qatol and took out his knife. Qatol never shot another arrow.
-Used a knife -Also a silent/sneaky type -Crossed a spacious archery range, probably very fast.
Mafia #3 has no description. LTT was unable to see anybody before his death.
Day 2 The Salesman + Show Spoiler +Jimtudor had no hard feelings about the election. With love for his town in his heart, he prepared to defend the people chosen to lead in this time of crisis. His door bell rang. "Who could it be at this hour?," he thought. A salesman in a flashy tie greeted Jimtudor from his welcome mat and began his pitch. Jimtudor tried to close the door in the man's face, but the man swiftly jammed a metal bar in the doorway and used it to pry the door open, then bash Jimtudor in the head till he died.
-Unlikely to be the first two (Sneaky) mafia -Used a metal bar for a weapon -Aimed for the head
Sneaky Mafia #3 + Show Spoiler +Walking through the park in the darkness, Softer began to think he was being stalked, so he hid in the bushes. The figure that had been following him began to search the thicket, and Softer panicked and tried to bolt towards the park's exit. However, before Softer could get away, his stalker whipped him forcefully in the back. Softer flew to the ground, where vicious stomps to the back of the neck took his life.
-I believe this to be Sneaky #1, as #2 uses a different weapon (a knife). -Uses a whip for a weapon. -Used brute force for he kill
Day 3 Sneaky Mafia #4 + Show Spoiler +Deep underneath Fluidville, So no fek was searching the depths of the town's sewer system for traces of mafia activity. Holding a blazing torch aloft to find his way forward, he slowed as he heard a sound like the shuffling of pages. He peered around the corner and saw an empty desk, then looked down to see the blade that had pierced his rib cage from behind. So no fek tried to turn to at least get a glimpse of his killer, but he couldn't muster the energy as the blade slipped back out of his chest.
-Killer was fast and silent -Again used a blade/knife for a weapon so this is possibly #2
Sneaky Mafia #5 + Show Spoiler +EsbenPM had spent the first two days of the mafia invasion building a stockpile of weapons he would never use. Late during the second night, he was fiddling with the trigger locks on his various shotguns while chomping on salted peas. After dinner, he went out to his garage to check on the gun racks he had just painted. Once in his garage, he reached for the switch on the wall, but lights wouldn't turn on. A sudden rush of fear came over him, and he wished he had brought one of his guns with him, even a sidearm. He thought about trying to sneak back into the house, but, instead, he felt his way to a crowbar leaned against the wall. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he could see the outline of man. EsbenPM charged and swung with the crowbar, but his adversary shoved it from his hands, then swung a board crushingly into the side of EsbenPM's head, killing him instantly.
-Sounds a lot like #1, uses whatever weapons he has at hand -Also uses brute force in the kill -This time, the weapon is a board -Could also be altogether a different mafioso
The Cannon Installer + Show Spoiler +Koopie had spent years recreating her house into a scale model of Princess Peach's from Super Mario 64. She heard a knock at her giant, red front door.
"Hi, I'm here to install the cannon out front by the moat. Can you sign here please?"
The finishing touch had finally arrived, and Koopie went upstairs to watch the installation from behind the giant stained glass window that bore her image, as well as her favorite video game character's. The cannon was plopped on its stone foundation, and it's barrel moved to point squarely at the face of the "princess". "He couldn't possibly...." she thought, seconds before an artillery shell with a shark-like face blew Koopie and her home to smithereens.
-I highly believe this is "The Salesman from Day 2 -Is the only talking mafia -Seems to possess lots of strength
So far, from what I have written, I only have a total of 5 mafia profiles. The Salesman, Sneaky #1, #2, #3, and the unknown mafioso behind LTT's death. I believe the remaining mafia can be found hidden in the clues not relating to the deaths of their victims. Example being the crepuscular(?) clue.
So yeah, these are the profiles I could gather from the Day clues. Hope it comes in handy.

The shattering of the windshield and death from bloodloss isn't a good enough description? :/ Imo it's far more describing than Mafia #1 for instance.
Sorry, I should've have been clearer. I was trying to create profiles of the mafia person. How they act, what they use, etc. Mafia#3 has no stated weapon, no description about himself, and LTT didn't even get to see him. So I have nothing on him as a person.
wurm wrote: Example being the crepuscular(?) clue.
This sentence has been clue checked, it doesn't contain any clues.
My bad, didn't know a DT already checked that one out. Well, hopefully we'll be able to get more clues out the Day clues.
