thgis is complete trash. Why would he say that as mafia? Read the obs thread from the last game, he was HYPER aware of you, the way you react to things, planning how he will play so as to not arouse your suspicion, he pocketed you and used you as a shield. Why does he make that post as mafia this game? That came across as very townie to me, because he must know it might piss you off, and he doesn't care. Just because of that. So you are saying its WIFOM? Vivax is very good at WIFOM. but this doesn't make sense. Whats the objective? that you town read him for sussing you?
Do you believe that Vivaxs statement on rayn is true?
I guess it would be more helpful if others agreed/disagreed with him

1.) Says a lot to not say much at all
2.) On August 25 2023 22:02 mathenalin wrote: This may be too early for a read
Why hedge when multiple people are making reads in the thread.
3.) essentially replicates a x and x can;t be mafia together heuristic that was getting Jacob town reads earlier in the thread.
4.) sheeps a read, and town reads strong players who have that read without bringing anything new to the table.
Basically, reads like a post to make a post, and the main aim that I can see is to ingratiate himself with some of the stronger players.
so yeah, could be a new player thing, could be a scum thing. But either way I don't like it.

I didn't play in those games so I don't know exactly how it went, but what concerns me with this is that you have a large amount of data/experience from the past two games and now you are extrapolating a read based on a very small sample size in this game which, to me, doesn't seem to lean either way, at least not from an attitude perspective. I now have to decide if you sort of see yourself as the "marv whisperer" trying to make an early god read. Or are you trying to pocket marv which is more suspicious. You are right, I am using my years of experience playing mafia as a lens through which i processed the last two games, as well as playing many games with marv in the past to make a read. why don;t you tell me what your reads are? cause right now you are repeating what is happening in the thread, and its sus. Sorry didn't mean to upset you. As far as my reads go I don't have anything new since my last post where I said VE was likely town and that one or more of marv and rayn are town. I have leanings either way but as a new player I don't have your confidence in analysing players.
I'm not upset.

Because what i see is a player who bases their reads (especially early on) fully and completely to meta. The first post would be fine if he just said "i dont think Koshi would want to get lynched as mafia like this", but instead he bases it on a meta on Koshi where Koshi has never wanted to be lynched as mafia. This does not go well with the fact that his meta suggests that "Koshi doesn't do that as any alignment". Aka it should be a null tell for him, and especially the first post he made suggesests that he should not have that conclusion about Koshi's alignment based on what he gives as a reasoning.

I mean ultimately you may be right (hedging ) - but I don’t think it’s because of this.
And it’s a different reason to townread VE than previously mentioned. I hadn’t said anything about my reason

Have to say this is my interpretation aswell, hence why i asked the question. Should be a null read. However I agree with marv and think his qualification about koshi in a previous game does add some weight, There is obviously a marv attitude DLC that I haven't unlocked yet. I would say its an uneven entry from LS so not a town read for me

I didn't like how he used IRL to exit the thread as soon as he was under pressure.
Reminds me of the last time he was mafia.

Also, this: very disconnected from the thread, no one thinks this so why is he asking this? the position on Jacob generally is slight town read.
It's like a halfhearted effort to change the direction of the discourse from himself, to like the most out their topic before he nopes out of the thread.

Does LS legit just town read the same people over and over regardless of alignment?
