You are probably my strongest town read right now in a vacuum not considering meta, thread presence, etc. The next tier of town reads was Alakaslam, basically because he agreed with things I agreed with and when he posted seemed quite productive and pro town, nothing he has said or done makes me think he is mafia. Next tier is VE. he is a bit of a mess, and the reaction to the flip seemed to feel like an over reaction. Basically I was feeling pretty good on him but I am less confident after that wagon on Vivax. DMB I am worried she just really overperformed as a new mafia player and sufficiently shit up the thread or was the obvious lynch for long that we basically over thought it. I still think my analysis prior to the flip was right, but I don't know what it means that Vivax, who she was sooo sure of flipped town. Probably it means she is less likely to be town. AfK tier is CHEZ, Onegu no read at this point. Don't like Lightning strike but he didn't lynch the doctor so that is something in his favor I suppose, depends on MZ alignment if it matters or not. MZ is a coinflip at this point. Basically my scum team would be looking something like Lightning strike 2 of DMB, VE, MZ, Onegu with the lurkers potentially switching out somewhere. I am not feeling great with that but its where I am pretty much. I am also really annoyed that Rayn would not tell me why Vivax was not mafia, because I literally asked him in the thread, and he said basically he could be mafia, that he wouldn't stop me lynching him, and that the reason he wouldn't lynch vivax is that his town reads were asleep and so it would be disproportionately affected by scum ( paraphrasing) | ||

Town argument is that she has a meta read on Vivax for how he plays games IRL and he’s not matching that, I can really understand that. Mafia argument is that Vivax is a convenient tunnel target given their relationship and Vivax is unlikely to be lynched (lol) so it can be a relatively long term strat. I just hope either way that she picks herself up and really plays. | ||

And I feel ok criticising rayn, because after the flip apparently it was super obvious that Vivax was town, but if that was the case there was an opportunity for that to not happen, and he didn't try and stop me, but I don't think it was as clear that he was super town as you have implied post flip. I understand the salt, but I also think you are engaged in results orientated thinking and I feel bad enough about the mis lynch already. Do you think I am town or mafia? I think it’s an incredibly natural townie reaction to have that sort of doubt. Honestly the evolution of my play over time has been increasing self doubt. The positive side to that is you tunnel less townies into oblivion. The downside is you tunnel less mafia into oblivion too. I don’t know what to make of VE’s lack of doubt on Vivax, especially since such active/strong players were voicing doubts to him all day. Same with MZ’s lack of doubt about me tbh. Neither are natural to me. But VE is a totally different sort of player to me. | ||
