GGs. Manner in which Tubesock killed Fidei was very suspect, you just had to look in his filter. Also had some very questionable posts. The final three also favoured Tubesock very heavily.

sorry for playing you so hard early conv, but when some guys is over the top nice to you (as a new player) on this site which skews a bit more abrasive it usually means they have a motivation hidden behind their dagger teeth. you did pretty well all things considered though, you made yourself appear pretty unimpeachably town which is the 2nd most important part of being VT.

damn everyone knew it was tubesock in both the game and the quicktopics and now we lose early cause of this?

I mean yeah everyone has a part in this ofc / shouldn't have let it come to final 3 to begin with

also conversion sucks that you got ill, and yea LS idk why didn't just let the game play out but shit happens I guess

As less people visit the site, it's getting tougher to fill up the newbie games. This game only had 2 players that qualified as newbies after a couple weeks of signups so it felt closer to a normal game than a traditional student game. Newbie games were partly introduced to help bring in new blood, so starting them early kind of defeats the purpose. However if you wait a month to get a game started, many of the players who signed up initially are no longer available

Does anyone have a strong opinion regarding how this should work going forward? Would you prefer that we keep signups open longer to try to get more new player signups or should we prioritize newbie signups initially, but open it up if signups drag on too long?

We need to invite everyone to the "Mafia Tournament of Champions - Hosted By Teamliquid.net - An idea totally not stolen from that other guy."!

As a side note, if anyone has any recruitment ideas, feel free to share. A while ago talked about putting together some sort of poor man's mafia-themed pony express to try to get some front page exposure, but nothing really came of it.

Stuff like DrH's mafia blogs used to be a great recruitment tool in the past, but I'm not sure if that would work these days.

We could host some type of old timers casual game and spam PM invites to anyone who has played 10+ games and hasn't been around in a while, but that might be kinda desperate
