Shining, I have a question for you. Let's say Tubesock gets modkilled. You understandably flipped your read on geript. Knowing what I know about basic setup, my guess is there are 4-5 scum on the scumteam, so who else do you think is/may be mafia? In your filter Tube would be the only one you have on the table. What about Lord and ruXxar? | ||

There are several players that are saying (besides myself) that a) he could be roleplaying as either alignment, geript himself has said he can't get a read (or positive town/not town read either way), so taking that assumption and even if he's getting reactions, how do you know he's not doing it as scum? Am I making sense here? | ||

He prods HTS for trying to get people onto the Ruxx wagon (#495), says he doesn't know what to make of my big WoT (#497), says that all JJ has done is to "post asinine Wots" (#498) - which, by the way, I don't agree with because at that point JJ had already started making more substantive posts (see, for example, #482), and asks what Lord Tolkien had said about him (#571). The sum of his posts has been to try and soft scum myself, HTS and JJ, but without committing to an actual read, or even really giving serious thoughts on any of us at all. The sum of all of this is that VA appears to be trying to do as little as possible, whilst also trying to cover that with some half-assed roleplay (ie "of course I've been useless, I'm emulating X who is useless"). But that doesn't work when you slip and actually make posts that look much more like they're coming straight from VA, unfiltered by roleplay. The only thing that gives me pause is his last post, which says "I have no thoughts on this game right now bye." (#650). I wouldn't have expected mafia to make such a scummy post to sit in amongst such a small filter. But I think the answer is that it's more weak roleplay attempt. VA as town, plays like this. All the time. The person he is, is marvellosity, a player you have had practically zero exposure to I believe. Even as recently as a few months ago, I tried to read VA on a tryhard = scum meta but it was in another game that JAT and marv (who are two very reliable town players) themselves looked at his meta as "town = gives few fucks if any, and no agenda" and "scum = gives more fucks and has an agenda usually" VA is always going to have a short filter, and most of his work when I've played with him is meta-based - he reads filters and reads past games - he does work but you won't see it in his filter. You think you're anti-spam - you've made that point before, he's basically you x10 in that respect. Right now, he's nullish. I've seen some of the poking, prodding, I think the follow-through from him is key, he has said in other games where if he has nothing to contribute, he won't contribute instead of faking it, the latter of which is scum agenda. And that's where that post #650 you cite might make him town. I am interested to see if he comments on any of the recent points on ruXxar, you or Tubesock (the current top wagons) but where he tends to post more is based on night actions and off evidence where a mafia has already flipped. Your case on him is towny from the sense you don't know him at all, nor the player he's emulating. I doubt it's accurate but you are certainly not scum for it. | ||

I read FF's filter and as mafia FF does way more shitposting than I am seeing here. I would not categorise FF's posting as shit up the thread unless Damdred you are scumreading him for other reasons. (Damdred or Chezinu rule?) (I have had it explained to me before and I keep forgetting but could someone remind me what the Chezinu rule actually is? If it was posted before and I missed it, a page number will do.) | ||

VA, based off what I know on meta, where are you hinting at for scum agenda? He doesn't really do much as town especially d1. This push I understand less. Chezinu in general is in the DT check category for me. I've only played one game with him and I never really "read" him (I was mafia and he was town) so from what I read of your last read on him it seems like meta, and I don't really want to meta him off one game, I think for me blue roles should resolve him. ruXxar, I think his pushes on you are bad, it seems like he's trying to see whatever sticks, I want to see more from him to be quite honest since enough time has elapsed, don't care if he's in character or not but I want him to be cleaer in his direction like he was in NSM12 and he was town. ruXxar has had long filters as scum, he can and is capable of shitposting. I disagree with you that long filter makes him town. | ||

Seriously? We're 44 pages into the game and you are telling me you don't have opinions on Fidei or Tubesock at least those two being the other two competing wagons? You have/had an opinion on ruXxar and he's the leading wagon - you said previously you wanted to sheep town reads, so where are your strong town reads right now even? | ||

WoS townread him for meta, wasn't really specific if I recall right. geript scumread him for being below expectations (paraphrasing, correct if wrong) - personally without playing with him I didn't like certain points. geript, what changed about him, and why should/shouldn't we lynch him? | ||
