Though I don't understand how you could believe I'd blow my vote manipulation like that then have no endgame plan if I was mafia.
I've never head of a vote rigger before so I was just flying by the seat of my pants on how to use it. I prob should have tried to talk things over more with Damdred rather than make it a show, but I was having fun and though rit really had a decent shot at being mafia.
And yea, I think what damdred said is true, there didn't look like there was any chance of talking sense into the rest of town that last day. I had no idea that my ability would cause so much paranoia in people.
Well played JJ, you deserved that win far more than town did at that point.
I'm gunna take solace in the fact that my reads weren't half bad most of this game.

Yah, I thought about that. The problem was that the FF Nuke + the ritoky push is just as bad as the shit JJ did. Plus, I couldn't believe that a host would have as fucking terrible wincons as existed in this game.

You still don't understand. You weren't getting mafia red for using the role. That wasn't the problem. It's a case of HOW you used the role. Because yes, there are times when as town, you should sack up and take a lynch. You should've tried to get OWS or JJ or Fido; any of the non-confirmed.
Fuck listening to fido. That shit is irrelevant. In any normal game, we have time to lynch both you and JJ. Hosts win cons are just super fucked up.

Interestingly, in 1-1-1 with Survivor, Goon, VT, assuming that your possibilities are:
Goon + VT = Scum win
Goon + Survivor = Scum + Survivor Win
VT + Survivor = Town + Survivor win
So the goon wins no matter who he lynches, as long as it's not him. The same is true for the Survivor. Both of these guys don't PARTICULARLY Care who dies, as long as it's not them. The VT, however, specifically wants to lynch the goon and NOT the survivor. So, assuming everyone knows that the setup is "goon survivor vt" what's the right move?
Well, first off, the Survivor and Goon are in the same circumstances except that Goon is under extra pressure cause VT wants to lynch him. So as Survivor, you can escape getting lynched by saying "hay guyz, I'm the Survivor." And why not? The Goon already knows you're either Survivor or VT and either way is fine with lynching you. The VT wants to lynch scum so he's like "ahhh yeah let's lynch the not-survivor". So what does goon do? well, he also says "I'm the Survivor" cause if he says he's a VT or something, the VT will know he's the Goon.
Now VT can either claim VT or Survivor here. If he claims Survivor, this becomes a 1-1-1 of PURE POLITICS. Basically, all players are pretending to be in the same boat: "if the other guys get lynched instead of me, I win" but the VT is actually trying to get the goon lynched. So now everyone starts trying to insinuate each other as goons. Why? Well let's say you're Goon or Survivor in this situation. You can get an easy win by convincing the VT that the other goon/survivor is the real Goon, since VT wants to lynch him before anything else. Now... you don't know who the VT is, so this is tricky, cause obviously you won't convince him that HIMSELF is the goon. What a delightfully complex scenario!
Now, if VT claims VT, things can go one of two ways. Both "Survivors" can vote him, or they can try to convince him that the other one is the goon. This is less interesting and a bit more straightforwards. If they both vote him, they still will jockey to convince him who the "Real" goon is, because if the VT votes you (as a survivor/goon) there's always a chance your compatriot will betray you. As long as the VT and the other survivor/goon crossvote, your victory is assured.
Either way, it's pretty fun.
