Mistakes were made. Only one player that I know of had access to his upgrade conditions early, but it did happen.
Upgrades were meant to be secret. There should have been hints in the role flavour as to what needed to be done to obtain them, but the general idea was simply to reward people having fun with the game with something a little extra. Better rewards accompanied more difficult upgrade requirements.
For instance, claiming Vanilla Town as Onegu is much easier than posting an 8-page D1 filter as Holyflare, and as such the player with the Holyflare role would receive a better upgrade if he met it.

My style isn't "quirky" and I haven't been on the site even a year so an old timer will be lost on how to play me or any or the newish (<1yr) players.
It could have been the other way too. I barely played a passable Oatsmaster but decided to drop that because I wasn't readable as town.
Roles were pure RNG same with personalities not sure what everyone is on about (not at Wave specifically but at in general).
As for town play several players failed to make themselves readable as town. That said Wave, I think we'll have to agree to disagree on ritoky, even throwing out my meta read on him I would have tunnelled him until I was mechanically proven wrong.

Unfortunately since I am the object of their distress a beating will likely only further the underlying issues. However, it might be possible to beat the sense right out of them which will bring about a temporary resolution.

Btw I had fun playing with ya, though I shoulda trusted my gut when you posted that story about getting out a meeting late, I sat looking at it for a good couple minuets thinking that it just didn't add up.
There were a fair few other clues that you were mafia that last day too, but you still looked a lot better than the rest of town so I wasn't really wanting to push you. Probably wouldn't have mattered anyways, pretty sure even if I had suggested lynching you first I woulda gotten a response of "We'll lynch JJ, just after we lynch you"

I sorta went into this game with the intentions of attempting to play w/o serious filter diving nor huge list posts... so that kinda blew that my upgrade required me to make a list of town
Overall felt like that was a decent way for me to play though, will prob only use filters to find posts and not try to read people through their filters.

It was all fake the anger etc because I knew that it was the right play especially with the information oneg had given me about winning without going to true lylo.

before the talk of lynching me came up I had even came up with a plan of sorts to get jj lynched over tt but yeah...

I think the biggest thing I can say to you tt is that if your going to keep yourself in the game at that point you have to bust your ass and ram down everyone's throats you are town.
Like you had 100% jj and geript against you.
You had me obi and yourself though that could of been convinced to end the game otherwise. So you played well up until the final day even up to the rit lynch wasn't horrible.

sometimes you end up...beating your head against a wall. it's not guaranteed that if you try you won't get lynched anyway, however it's almost definitely guaranteed that if you don't you'll be lynched
so even if it seems futile, it's worth fighting for lol >< (the down under game i just finished not that long ago where i went to lylo with town onegu who is always rsoul lynch happy and scum ows, i didn't want to play much either, but was loud enough - and onegu was playing intelligent enough - to get the lynch off me. so i get it, but it's not impossible)

Yea I kinda gave up when geript made that one post, kus I knew he had to be town. At that point I was speculating that Obi was town, and he was sorta looking like he was considering things more but like I said all game I just wasn't able to solidly read him as town and trust him.
In retrospect I shoulda known JJ was mafia and pushed him, it's hard to make that call in game though when JJ was the only person making "efforts" to read me.
Honestly you (Damdred) were my only hope that also died when I saw you ninja vote after my (I think) last post. I think I kinda knew something was up with how little you had presence that last day, but I had no idea endgame could occur like that.
I can't blame you for taking the win that way, you basically had things solved the day before and even hinted at everything that last night. I'll remember this next time I am in a game with a 3p *looks at HtS*
I think this is actually the first game I've been on the loosing side, and we had the win in our hands too. So overall I feel good about the game.

I want to be clear. I was not 100% against TT. Like I can see scenarios where I lynch JJ there instead. The problem is that he came back looking really fucking scummy. Plus, I didn't think it mattered who we lynched first because there's like no chance that there's 2 mafia. Except host had really fucked up win cons which should never ever be used and I wasn't aware that such awful win cons existed.
