I'm on page 30 but I gotta leave for work. I'll be back in an hr-hr and a half and I'll be reading on the train, should be fully caught up by then. Wonder how many people(rayn) I pissed off posting as I go.

FF's vote on ruxxar and post seems pretty legit. When FF is scum, I randomly decide to track him with no prompting or reason(lol I still find that funny). I don't feel like doing that here at all.
Damdy(fite me RSo) sry to hear, love ya bro, you know how to find me, if anything.
I'm riding a seesaw with ruxxar. Like, at some point, I started sitting back and wondering if its really just bad play vs scum motivation. I'm going to cop out here and sheep Damdred and RSo in not lynching ruxxar today. Also I don't really question the timing of that post Damdred, considering it was 5 minutes after your balls to the walls post and like 20 mins after your comment regarding noob. You pushed him into that direction lol.
Edgar came in and targeted RSo. No reactions about anything else and no other reads. I don't think even unmotivated town does this.

I don't think you really believe what you said, so I'll let it slide. i actually believe that you are scummiest so far. npnp, brush it off, you can take it. you still haven't explained why try harding makes you scum , or what was wrong with the post he made? what is wrong with his posts all being serious? it felt like he put too much thought into it and spent too much time writing it. bolding text and polishing it to make it look real nice as if he was like "yo look at me I'm super town and I'm gonna be like super scum hunter 1000%" <--- town actions town cred GG ez game. gave me a scum vibe. My 2-line post came off as having too much effort? Hoo boy, are you in for a treat this game.
Since many of you have not played with me before (and I have not played with many of you), a brief point on my meta: If I'm scum, I'll fake claim a 3rd Party Neutral Assassinating Survivor, draw multiple vigi hits and medic saves, and ultimately die but set my team up for the win. If I'm town, I'll approach the game from a mechanics-focused angle, analyzing any and all known information about the game in order to break the setup, or at least make it town favored. On day 2 or 3, I'll write up a hyper-analysis of someone I find scummy, and either convict them or clear them.
This setup is Mountainous, which means no power roles at all. Some might think that this makes it impossible to approach from a mechanics standpoint, but the secret is that, as I said in my OP, Mountainous setups rely entirely on activity between players. There is no reason to lurk to avoid notice as town, because there are no power roles trying to avoid mafia notice. Play loud, play proud, play nice, and we'll all have a good game. Lurk, and you're clearly scum, either as mafia or bad town.
Not really sure what to make of this post. I want to immediately throw it into the same pile of Cake and ruxxar doing these self metas that just don't sit well with me. Like yes, meta can be used to find scum but you have to play the game, as well. This is a really big fluffy post where iGrok tells us what he thinks he does as town as scum. These always have to be taken with a grain of salt. Like obviously if you know you do xyz as scum and ABC as town, then you know enough to try and consciously change said meta.
He also reaffirms his stance on LAL.
One thing I did notice was he set that post up to say that in no way could he be scum here. We don't have 3p so he can't claim that like he would as scum. No vigi shots or medic saves to draw. He indirectly painted a scenario where there is no way he can be scum just because it's an all vanilla game and he can't do his normal scum things.
I'm not sure if that was intentional but if he's scum, that's a very interesting way to self-meta without giving away your alignment.

I'm not sure if that was intentional but if he's scum, that's a very interesting way to self-meta without giving away your alignment. OK wanted to know if that was comparable to ruxxar / cake or no. Your remark about him setting up his meta in a way he cannot be mafia is super interesting.
It was and is. The only difference is his post was way more elaborate and detailed which admittedly should make him look worse. But there is so much information there, especially regarding his d2 town meta, that it could be of use to town going forward, even if he's scum. Because he has now trapped himself into having to abide by his own town meta and I'm kind of curious to see if this "burial" analysis on d2-3 he claims he will do is going to be genuine or contrived.
When there are players like yamato who roll scum and quit games(not saying he's completely done this here yet but he's borderline for me) and drive by, non-contributive scummy posters like Edgar and huge question marks like Scott, things like this take a bit of a backseat.

Edgar. While you're here, could you give me thoughts on anyone else? I won't even ask for particular players, I'll let you decide who you read and why but as far as I can tell, you're being obstinate on your iGrok vote(which is NAI, town can tunnel too) and only reads on ruxxar and iGrok. You also went through a small line of questioning on RSo but I didn't see you land on either side of the null line afterwards. Are you waiting on her responses before you give a read on her?

League of legends jokes get you TL+? Well camp my lane and call me fed, where do I sign up?

Wait am I coming off of Edgar then or what? Fucking work got hectic over here and I've missed the last few pages, idk how the Scott wagon got traction. All I can say about him is I remember being in a newbie game with him once where he had little to no posts d1, we lynched him, he flipped VT. Feels like that again. And that game, scum was pretty active.
Bahhhh

Lol that entire shitshow is preventing me from posting correctly. I'm still not even sure what happened or when deadline is...
Damdred, my post right before EoD explained why I wouldn't switch to Scott. Work was hectic, I hadn't fully caught up, no idea when deadline was, I didn't see where or how the Scott wagon started gaining traction, and the biggest one was I had a newbie game with Scott in which he had like 5-6 posts d1 iirc. Did a lot of nothing, but had a strange vote post and scattered ideas like here and we lynched him D1. He flipped VT. I was afraid of it being the same situation.

Posts 324 & 573. I'm not by any means saying they were good posts or anything great to go off of but, along with his excuse about work and that one prior experience, it was enough to make me hesitate.

Yeah I'm not mad at any one particular person or host or anything but...lol I took a bit of a break from TL and this was my first game back. Kinda don't know how to feel.

Yay dumbtown Shining knew yamato's scum meta and I just knew there was something off about Cop. I could only trace it down to the self-metaing but yeah, I never fully towned her.
Im bad. Someone make me better lol. I cant believe I actually managed to do the whole catch up posting thing too lol
I'm also very purposely ignoring the endgame stuff. I am going to take HTS word for it, among with the friends I have here, and say this is far from the norm. Cop, you should do the same. And I don't want to rehash any of the EoD stuff cuz it didn't directly involve me and I agree with a lot of points from a lot of different people.
I've played with HF once or twice and this was a first. Sad to see you wanna go but I just came back from a break so I know the feeling. Ah well, enough rambling, onto the next!
