The problem here isn't that he made a sentence without explanation. Lots of people here have posted "tone reads" or stuff like that.

The problem here isn't that he made a sentence without explanation. Lots of people here have posted "tone reads" or stuff like that. The problem is that he made up a false explanation, then gave it up when asked to confirm it.
