Well I think it might be a decent mafia strategy. Put a vote on someone that you have somewhat of a day-one read on is really good since:
If he gets lynched at some point you'll get all the town cred in the world for "calling it out on day one".
You can easily revert your vote, saying it was just a feeling you had D1, no one will fault you for reverting something you not even halfway through D1. If you stick with your vote and push on him things might get interesting.
The cool thing is, either way, so you pushing him into abyss or not pushing him will give us a lot of information in case he drops scum.
